  • Publication number: 20240099574
Abstract: A head-mounted display (HMD) determines whether a set of criteria is satisfied based on eye-related readings collected by a camera of the HMD and wirelessly transmits a set of messages in response to a determination that the set of criteria is satisfied. An attachment includes a set of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and activates the set of LEDs to emit the light at the bleaching intensity in response to receiving the set of messages.

  • Publication number: 20240036641
Abstract: In some embodiments, a wearable device performs a visual test that includes simultaneously presenting a first eye stimulus for a first eye of a user of the device and a second eye stimulus for a second eye of the user, where the first eye stimulus has a display characteristic level greater than a display characteristic level of the second eye stimulus. The display characteristic level of the first eye stimulus and second eye stimulus are sequentially increased until feedback information indicates detection of at least one of the first eye stimulus or the second eye stimulus by the user. In response to the feedback information indicating such detection by the user, the other stimulus is presented at one or more sequentially increasing display characteristic levels until the feedback information indicates detection of the other stimulus. Ocular anomaly information of the user is generated based on the feedback information.

  • Publication number: 20240027754
Abstract: In certain embodiments, pupil-related characteristic detection or spectacles correction/adjustment based thereon may be facilitated. In some embodiments, a stimulus may be presented at a location on a first display portion of the user device at a first time to cause a first eye of a user to fixate on the location. A stimulus may be presented at the location on a second display portion of the user device to cause a second eye of the user to fixate on the location at a time subsequent to the first time. Movement of the first or second eye to fixate on the location on the respective first or second display portion in connection with the stimulus presentation at the second time may be determined. In response to the movement of the first or second eye exceeding a threshold movement amount, a user profile may be generated that includes the user's pupil distance.

  • Patent number: 11803065
Abstract: A head-mounted display and accessory system in which the accessory emits bleaching light through the head-mounted display to bleach photoreceptors for dark adaptation testing includes a casing, where a lens of a head-mounted display is positioned inside the cavity, and where an aperture of the casing is aligned with an exterior-facing camera of the head-mounted display. The system also includes an attachment body, where a posterior end of the attachment body is fixed to an anterior end of the casing, and where the attachment body includes a set of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), where the set of LEDs is attached to the posterior end of the attachment body and is directed towards the lens. The system also includes a circuitry that is configured to control light emission of the set of LEDs.

  • Publication number: 20230165460
Abstract: A method includes obtaining spatial information indicating positions of electronic displays relative to a wearable device and selecting a first display location on an electronic display other than a wearable display of the wearable device based on the spatial information indicating that the first display location on the electronic display corresponds to a first field location of a visual field. The method further includes selecting a second display location on the wearable device based on the spatial information indicating that the second display location on the wearable display corresponds to a second field location of the visual field. The method further includes causing presentation of (i) a first stimulus at the first display location on the electronic display and (ii) a second stimulus at the second display location on the wearable device and generating ocular anomaly information based on feedback information related to the presented stimuli.
