Patents Assigned to Hewi Heinrich Wilke GmbH
  • Patent number: 5228798
Abstract: Two components are telescopically connected to one another. One component has a radial bore provided with a thread and the other component has a groove which drops away axially. A grub screw is screwed into the bore and the conical tip of the grub screw comes into engagement with the at least one of flanks that form the groove in order to either fix the two components relative to one another or to clamp them axially. In one embodiment, the screw is offset from the base of the groove such that the conical tip rolls against one of the flanks to displace to same and effect telescoping movement between the two components.

  • Patent number: 5029914
Abstract: The invention relates to a fitting with a handle for operating the lock follower of a lock fitted in a door or the like. The fitting comprises a fixing device for its fixing to the door or the like and for rotary mounting of the handle, which device is passed through by an operating rod mounted without play in the follower and inserted into a receiving opening of the handle. The receiving opening is so formed that it--going from a datum position--transfers directly to the operating rod rotary movements of the handle taking place in a first direction of rotation but is without influence on the operating rod with rotary movements of the handle taking place in the opposite direction of rotation, commencing from the datum position, at least within a predetermined range of rotation.

  • Patent number: 5013001
Abstract: The invention relates to a receptacle having a base part, a cover part which can be drawn over the base part and a resiliently mounted catch for joining the two parts together. A means for safeguarding against unauthorized removal of the cover part from the base part provides the catch with a crown in a cavity in the base part and associates with the crown a locking mechanism which is also disposed in the cavity and can be actuated from without only by a tool.

  • Patent number: 4887787
Abstract: The invention relates to a mounting device on hardware or fittings, especially shelves and holders, which contain at least one base part which is to be fastened to a wall or the like and which has a bearing surface which can be pressed onto the base part and completely conceals it in the installed state. To create a theft-proof connection between these parts two kinds of fastening means are used. The one fastening means associated with the fully installed state of the cover part prevents, in the assembled state, any even partial unintentional separation of the cover part from the base part, and in the separated state permits the cover part to be removed completely. The other fastening means does permit a partial removal of the cover part from the base part in the assembled state, and complete removal in the separated state, but is accessible only when the cover part is in an at least partially removed state of the cover part which can be achieved only after the release of the first fastening means.

  • Patent number: 4878631
Abstract: The invention relates to a roll holder for a roll made from a web of material and having a hollow core, especially a paper roll provided with perforations running transversely. The roll holder contains a core body and a sleeve rotatably mounted thereon onto which the hollow core is mounted by its hollow core. To permit preselected sections of the material web to be torn off without the use of a flap bearing a tear-off edge or other aids, the sleeve is under the influence of a braking force which is applied by means provided on it and on the core body. The braking force is preferably adjustable.

  • Patent number: 4871202
Abstract: A lock for doors or the like with a case (8) having a longitudinal axis (9), a locking member (16) mounted in the case to be slidable parallel to the longitudinal axis, a bush (29) mounted in the case to be rotatable about an axis of rotation arranged at right angles to the longitudinal axis, and a drive having driving parts (35, 37, 21, 23) on the locking member and on the bush for converting rotary movements of the bush into sliding movements of the locking member, the locking member being slidable by rotation of the bush at least out of a locking position into a retracted open position. So that the driving parts and the bush can be made sufficiently stable even with a small over-all height or a small total cross-section of the lock, the driving parts are arranged both in the locking position and in the open position of the locking member (16) in a space in the lock case (8) located between the closing member (16) and the bush (29).
