Abstract: A wiping assembly includes an endless belt and a plurality of rollers about which the belt is mounted. A first roller mounts a first end of the belt adjacent a first end of a belt zone while a second roller is adjacent at an opposite, second end of the belt zone. A third roller mounts a second end of the belt and is located at an intermediate position along a first orientation between the respective first and second ends of the belt zone. The third roller is translatable along the first orientation while the first roller and the second roller are non-translatable along the first orientation. The third roller is biased toward the first end of the belt zone to apply tension on the belt.

Abstract: A method for tracing a multicast flow in a network is described herein. The network may include one or more hosts and a plurality of network devices. An initiating device of the plurality of network devices receives a message to trace a multicast flow. The message includes an identification of a multicast flow. It is determined whether a multicast distribution tree of the initiating device includes state information of the multicast flow. An upstream neighbor of the initiating device is determined. A multicast trace route request is transmitted to a receiving device of the plurality of network devices. The receiving device is the upstream neighbor of the initiating device. It is determined whether a response is received from the receiving device and based on the response, it is determined whether to transmit a multicast trace route request to an upstream neighbor of the receiving device.

Abstract: An example provides a system and method for decreasing a data transfer rate of a linear tape drive. The method includes detecting, within a linear tape drive, a first data transfer rate of a host computing system to determine whether the first data transfer rate is slower than a second data transfer rate of a magnetic tape head within the linear tape drive. The method also includes, in response to determining that the first data transfer rate is slower than the second data transfer rate, deactivating a specified number of data write elements within the magnetic tape head, wherein deactivating the specified number of the data write elements includes decreasing the second transfer rate.

Abstract: A memristive device includes: a first electrode; a second electrode; a memristive matrix interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; a porous dopant diffusion element in physical contact with the memristive matrix and in proximity to the first electrode and the second electrode; and a first mobile dopant species which moves through the porous dopant diffusion element in response to a programming electrical field. A method for using a memristive device having a porous dopant diffusion element includes applying a voltage bias to generate a programming electrical field such that dopants move through the porous dopant diffusion element, thereby changing the distribution of dopants within a memristive matrix to form a first state; removing the voltage bias, the dopants being substantially immobile in the absence of the programming electrical field; and applying a reading energy to the memristive device to sense the first state.
