Patent number: 10664206Abstract: A system includes an image analyzer to analyze an image to be printed by a printer and to obtain an image parameter of the image, and a database to store a plurality of print-mode configurations for the printer. Each print-mode configuration has associated therewith a measure that represents a suitability of the print-mode configuration to print an image having a certain image parameter on a certain print medium. The database receives a query, and the query indicates the image parameter and a print medium. The database selects, responsive to the query and to the measure, a print-mode configuration for the printer, and outputs the selected print-mode configuration. The system modifies the measure associated with the selected print-mode configuration in response to a feedback about the printed image.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2016Date of Patent: May 26, 2020Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Devleopment Company, L.P.Inventors: Frederic Barnel, Oriol Borrell Avila, Albert Crespi Serrano

Patent number: 9539812Abstract: In one example, parts to be assembled into a fluid flow structure include: a first part having flat sealing surfaces each surrounding one of multiple first conduit openings; a second part having sealing ridges each surrounding one of multiple second conduit openings; and a single gasket having multiple holes each surrounded on both sides by a flat sealing surface. Each hole in the gasket is positioned to align with one of the first and second conduit openings so that, when the parts are assembled together, each gasket sealing surface contacts a corresponding one of the flat sealing surfaces on the first part or the sealing ridges on the second part and fluid may flow through the holes in the gasket from the conduit openings on one of the parts to the conduit openings on the other part.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2012Date of Patent: January 10, 2017Assignee: HEWLETT PACKARD DEVLEOPMENT COMPANY, L.P.Inventors: Rhonda Lynn Wilson, Daniel D. Patent number: 9476833Abstract: According to an example, methods for forming three-dimensional (3-D) nano-particle assemblies include depositing SES elements onto respective tips of nano-fingers, in which the nano-fingers are arranged in sufficiently close proximities to each other to enable the tips of groups of adjacent ones of the nano-fingers to come into sufficiently close proximities to each other to enable the SES elements on the tips to be bonded together when the nano-fingers are partially collapsed. The methods also include causing the nano-fingers to partially collapse toward adjacent ones of the nano-fingers to cause a plurality of SES elements on respective groups of the nano-fingers to be in relatively close proximities to each other and form respective clusters of SES elements, introducing additional particles that are to attach onto the clusters of SES elements, and causing the clusters of SES elements to detach from the nano-fingers.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2013Date of Patent: October 25, 2016Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Devleopment Company, L.P.Inventors: Steven J.
