  • Publication number: 20180239718
Abstract: Utilizing pins on a universal serial bus (USB) type-C connector for a data signal includes a circuit to, based on an orientation of a receptacle side of the USB type-C connector when connected to an electronic device, identify spare pins used for the data signal instead of a USB differential pair signal on the receptacle side of the USB type-C connector, a controller to create the data signal from a number of signals received by the controller, the data signal to be routed from the receptacle side of the USB type-C connector to a plug side of the USB type-C connector, and a multiplexor (MUX) to, when the plug side of the USB type-C connector is connected to a peripheral device, route the data signal to the spare pins of the receptacle side of the USB type-C connector to allow the data signal to be exchanged between the electronic device and the peripheral device via the spare pins of the receptacle side of the USB type-C connector and bottom pins on the plug side of the USB type-C connector.

  • Publication number: 20150363141
Abstract: A system and method for cloud centric Web out-of-box print experience (WOOBPE) for Web connected printers are disclosed. In one example, a printer is registered with a cloud print service upon the printer coupling to a network. A WOOBPE application is then launched via a computing device to obtain a network identification (ID) of the printer. A user account is then created with WOOBPE service providers for a user of the printer upon obtaining printer specific information using the network ID. Printer email ID is then provided and the printer email ID is then activated and a test page is printed based on the printer specific information. The printer is then claimed by sending the printer specific information to the WOOBPE service providers for subscribing to one or more print services and associating the printer specific information with the created user account.

  • Patent number: 8260763
Abstract: A method comprises using a processor to list candidate resources that may be matched with a plurality of service entities. The method also comprises eliminating at least one possible match between the candidate resources and the plurality of service entities. The method further comprises, for each of the plurality of service entities, rating the candidate resources. The method still further comprises ranking the plurality of service entities. The method still further comprises matching each of the plurality of service entities with at least one of the candidate resources.

  • Patent number: 6671652
Abstract: A structure and related method for determining the uncertainty window associated with clock signals on a microprocessor using circuitry on the microprocessor die itself and external software. A target clock signal of interest is compared to a series of reference clock signals having the same frequency, but differing in phase relationship. Where the target clock signal makes state transitions with respect to the various reference clock signals over the course of several thousand comparisons is indicative of the uncertainty window for that target clock. By adjusting the phase relationship between the reference clock signals, and thereby adjusting the width of the time windows defined by corresponding features of the reference clock signals, the uncertainty window for the target clock signal may be iteratively determined.
