Publication number: 20160332366Abstract: A three-dimensional object may be generated. A controller may be to control an energy source to apply energy to a layer of build material on a support member or previous layer to cause a portion of the layer to coalesce and solidify to form a slice of the three-dimensional object. A radiation sensor may be to measure absorbance or gloss of the layer. The controller may be to receive, from the radiation sensor, data representing measured absorbance or measured gloss of the layer. The controller may be to control the apparatus to modify a process parameter if the measured absorbance or gloss indicates an incorrect degree of solidification of a part of the layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2014Publication date: November 17, 2016Applicant: Hewlett-Parkard Development Company, L.P.Inventor: David H. DONOVAN

Patent number: 9221266Abstract: Fluid flux correction is disclosed. An example method of fluid flux correction includes displacing a fluid volume in a fluid reservoir with a compliant element. The method also includes absorbing fluid surges caused by variations in fluid flux to reduce distortion of at least one ink nozzle meniscus and maintain consistent fluid ejection.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2012Date of Patent: December 29, 2015Assignee: Hewlett-Parkard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Benjamin H. Wood, Jon A. Crabtree, Orestes Alejandro Bihun, Lawrence E. Gibson, Louis C. Ramsay, John M. Watanabe

Patent number: 9218323Abstract: Example pages in which text and graphics have been laid out using a mixed text-and-graphics layout template are received from a user. Hyper parameters of a probabilistic model for the mixed text-and-graphics layout template are optimized, based on the example pages.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2010Date of Patent: December 22, 2015Assignee: Hewlett-Parkard Development Company, L.P.Inventor: Niranjan Damera-Venkata

Patent number: 9183004Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for representing user interaction with a web service. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring a representation of the actions of a user performing a task with the web service; analyzing the acquired actions to determine semantics and at least one variable describing the user actions; and representing the semantics and the at least one variable in at least one script file, the at least one script file supporting performance of user interaction with the web service based on the semantics and a value provided for the variable.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2009Date of Patent: November 10, 2015Assignee: Hewlett-Parkard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Geetha Manjunath, Ajay Gupta

Publication number: 20140211534Abstract: A method to operate an integrated circuit includes operating a locally active memristive device in a locally reactive region of an operating domain where the device exhibits inductor-like behavior, such as a phase shift where a voltage across the device leads a current through the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 29, 2013Publication date: July 31, 2014Applicant: Hewlett-Parkard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Matthew D. Pickett, R. Stanley Williams

Publication number: 20110217650Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to compositions and methods for a liquid electrophotographic ink printing. The composition comprises a liquid vehicle; ink particles; and a charge director system, comprising i) a primary charge component, ii) a secondary charge component, and iii) an electrical stability additive; such that the charge director system provides the following ink conductivities: a high field conductivity of about 100 pS/cm to about 500 pS/cm, a low field conductivity of about 20 pS/cm to about 200 pS/cm, a direct charge conductivity less than about 30 pS/cm, and a particle conductivity of at least 100 pS/cm. Additionally, the liquid electrophotographic ink can be formulated for printing from a liquid electrophotographic printer.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2008Publication date: September 8, 2011Applicant: Hewlett-Parkard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Ilanit Mor, Shahar Stein, Elliad Silcoff, Albert Teishev, Julia Kornilov

Publication number: 20090310154Abstract: A color-separation LUT and/or algorithm method and apparatus preferably convert input device-color data to output device-colorants, for many color-presentation types—automatically and for arbitrary colorant-set. In one major aspect of the invention, a device-hue ring is defined along six straight edges of a cubical device-hue space (without segments ending at white and black). Preferably coordinates defined along the six segments parametrize the procedure and equipment, i. e. establish colorant indexing by those coordinates (and preferably device-hue). In a second major aspect, plural color transformations—having respective favorable and adverse characteristics—serve different portions of input color space; their outputs merge to combine favorable properties of the transforms. In a third, cusps of the colorant hue planes populate the output side of the hue ring. In a fourth, a colorant sampling technique (faster by several orders of magnitude than exhaustive sampling) canvasses the output space.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2006Publication date: December 17, 2009Applicant: Hewlett-Parkard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Jan Morovic, Johan Lammens, Michel Georges Encrenaz
