Abstract: An electric hoist with a brake motor having an output shaft oriented in the horizontal direction; a shaft located immediately below the output shaft of the brake motor and pivoting parallel to the output shaft; a chain sprocket affixed on the shaft and having a load chain wound thereon; gears provided on the output shaft side of the brake motor, the gears meshing with each other between the output shaft and one end of the shaft and transmitting the output of the brake motor to the shaft; and an upper hook provided above the brake motor and horizontally suspending the shaft with no load suspended, the shaft connected to the brake motor through the gears. The chain sprocket is provided on the shaft such that the portion of the chain sprocket on which the load chain is wound is located on the vertical line which passes through the upper hook.

Abstract: A chain block comprising a load sheave winding up a load chain, a hand wheel arranged on one side of the load sheave and rotatable in one of a normal direction and a reverse direction in response to the manual operation of a hand chain, a pinion shaft inserted through the load sheave along the center axis of the load sheave in a manner allowing the load sheave to be freely rotatable thereabout, one end of the pinion shaft screwed into the center of the hand wheel and the other end of the pinion shaft including a spindle gear, a reduction gear composed of a small-diameter gear and a large-diameter gear, the large-diameter gear in mesh with the spindle gear, a main shaft gear, in mesh with the small-diameter gear, transferring a torque of the reduction gear to the load sheave.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide an electric hoist using a suspended electric winch that maintains a horizontal posture in any cargo handling operation. A hoist in one aspect includes a winch including a drum axially connected to a drive shaft of a motor, a suspension hook attached to the winch above the center of gravity of the winch that is in a horizontal posture thereof in and empty load state thereof, a first roller arranged on the opposite side of the winch from the suspension hook and turning the direction of a wire paid out from the drum toward the center of gravity, and a second roller for turning the direction of the wire to be aligned with a vertical line downward extended from the center of gravity of the winch. The winch is suspended in the simplest suspension method when the winch is used as a hoist. The suspension method is implemented in many plants and warehouses without any particular facility.
