Abstract: A two-motor lift and recline system for a powered chair comprises a base, at least one footrest/ottoman support bracket for mounting and supporting a footrest or ottoman thereon, at least one seat rail for mounting and supporting a seat thereon, at least one backrest support bracket for mounting and supporting a backrest thereon, a first linear actuator mounted upon the base and operatively connected to the at least one footrest/ottoman support bracket for moving the at least one footrest/ottoman support bracket between extended and retracted positions, and a second linear actuator mounted upon the at least one seat rail and operatively connected to the at least one backrest support bracket for moving the at least one backrest support bracket between fully upright and fully reclined positions.
