An aerial image display device includes an image display device, a half mirror, and a retroreflector. The half mirror is a reflection-type polarizing plate. A ?/4 plate is provided between the reflection-type polarizing plate and the retroreflector. The retroreflector has a polarization-maintaining degree of 50% or more.
