Abstract: A system 100 is provided for enabling review of a medical image. The system 100 comprises a user interface subsystem 140 for enabling a user to apply one or more graphical elements to the medical image during the review of the medical image. The system 100 further comprises a reporting subsystem 180 for accessing a medical database 060 comprising medical information items which each represent medical reference information, retrieving a medical information item 062 from the medical database based on association data which links the application of the one or more graphical elements, as represented by the application data to the medical information item, and generating a report 182 based on the medical information item. The medical information item 062 may be associated with a codified version of the medical reference information, and the reporting subsystem 180 may be arranged for using the codified version of the medical reference information in generating the report.

  • Publication number: 20140114679
Abstract: A clinical findings management system enables a clinician to review medical diagnostic images and mark or “tag” locations of suspect anatomy in the images. The tagged findings of a review are stored in association with a particular patient, particular anatomy, and location in the anatomy as marked by the placement of the tag. Serial studies performed of the particular anatomy over time are compared and the evolving diagnostic data of a particular finding is accumulated and saved. The clinician is thus able to recall the diagnostic history of a particular finding resulting from studies of the anatomy performed over time.

  • Publication number: 20130235793
Abstract: A system (1300), method, and apparatus (1900) are provided for a source to choose a partner/relay from at least one candidate(1302) (1303) to transmit at least part of a message from the source (1301) to destination (1304). The choice depends on the channel conditions of the source (1301) and when the source is experiencing poor channel quality to the destination, the source selects the candidate and the modulation modes of the source (1301) and partner/relay (1302) (1303) such that the frame error rate (FER) of the source(1301) is lowered. Otherwise, a modulation mode is selected for each of the source (1301) and the partner/relay (1302) (1303) that most improves the gain in throughput of the source (1301). The present invention applies to modes consisting of binary phase shift keying (BPSK), quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), and 16-state quadrature amplitude modulation (16-QAM).

  • Publication number: 20130088154
Abstract: The invention provides a display and lighting arrangement (100) comprising a display unit (110), a sensor system (120), a control unit (130) and a lighting system (140), wherein the sensor system (120) is configured to sense a person (1) in a predetermined area (2) and to generate a corresponding sensor system signal. The lighting system (140) comprises a first light source (141) configured to provide front face light (41) to the person (1) and a second light source (142) configured to provide top light (42) to the person (1) in the predetermined area (2). The control unit (130) is configured to derive a person feature from the sensor system signal and to control, based on the person feature, the light (41) of the first light source (141) and the light (42) of the second light source (142). The display unit (110) is configured to display an image (5) of the person (1) located in the predetermined area (2) to the person (1) in the predetermined area (2).
