  • Publication number: 20110134049
Abstract: A system for handling multi-touch input on a computing device enables the device to handle multi-touch input where each touch input is provided to a separate application executing on the device. In response to a first touch input, a first application generates and registers a first connection point with a link component. Similarly, a second application generates and registers a second connection point in response to a second touch input. The link component then provides the second connection point to the first application and notifies the first application that it should complete a communication connection with the second application. The two applications then exchange information to determine a coordinator application that will execute first in response to the input. The information exchange may include a handshake process in which each application may request or provide information and notify the other application that it will or will not execute an operation.

  • Publication number: 20090147484
Abstract: A handheld electronic device including a first body, a second body, a flexible electrical connecting means and a cover is provided. The second body is slidely coupled to the first body. The flexible electrical connecting means is electrically connected between the first body and the second body and the cover is slidely coupled to the second body. The cover is located at a first position on the second body when the first body and the second body are in a stacked state. The cover shields the flexible electrical connecting means exposed due to the movement of the second body against the first body when the first body and the second body are in a spread state. Therefore, reliability and appearance of the handheld electronic device can be improved. In addition, available area on the handheld electronic device in the spread state can be increased, to provide higher design flexibility.

  • Publication number: 20090077600
Abstract: A method for switching mobile television channels of a mobile computing device includes the following steps: First, an original channel is played on a screen of the mobile computing device. A first channel number of a first selected channel is received at a first time point. Then, a second channel number of a second selected channel is received at a second time point, wherein a time interval between the first and second time points is less than a predetermined interval for action. A period of time from the second time point to an action time point is counted, wherein the period of time is equal to the predetermined time interval for action. Next, data bursts of the second selected channel are received and buffered from the action time point to a next time point. At last, the second selected channel is played on the screen from the next time point.
