Abstract: Footwear with a modular sole assembly having an insole portion connected to an upper. The insole portion can have a compressible lattice with interconnected laths to provide support for the wearer's foot. A midsole portion is connected to the insole portion and has a midsole perimeter portion that interfaces with the insole perimeter portion. The midsole portion is modularly affixed to the insole portion. An outsole portion is connected to the midsole portion. First locking features are integrally formed along the lower perimeter portion of the upper or along the insole perimeter portion. Second locking features are integrally formed along the midsole portion and configured to releasably mate with the first locking features and fixedly hold the midsole portion together with the insole portion and the upper without use of cement bonding or other adhesive material.

Abstract: Footwear comprising a sole assembly affixed to a lower portion of an upper. The sole assembly is made at least partially by an additive manufacturing process. The sole assembly has a platform layer and a lattice with interconnected laths extending away from the platform layer in at least forefoot and heel portions. The lattice and platform layer support the wearer's foot, and the laths in the lattice provide cushioning to the foot. A plurality of spaced-apart internal support structures that extend away from the platform layer and define cavities within the sole assembly. The internal support structures also provide cushioning to the wearer's foot. The sole assembly has a perimeter portion bounded within the sole assembly, and integral anchor features are adjacent to the perimeter portion and adjacent to at least one of the cavities. The upper is fastened to the perimeter portion with fastening features that securely engaged and affixed to the anchor features without penetrating into the cavities.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a platform for footwear. The platform includes bevels and an internal channel for assembling an upper with the platform. A first bevel is defined in a first side portion of the platform and is configured to receive a portion of a first upper side. A second bevel is defined in a second side portion of the platform and is configured to receive a portion of a second upper side. An internal channel is positioned within the platform and extends between the first bevel and the second bevel. The internal channel is configured to receive a fastener to assemble the upper with the platform. The platform may also include a slot for receiving an edge portion of a sock liner to assemble the sock liner with the platform.
