Abstract: An electroencephalogram (EEG) and an electrocardiogram (EKG) signal are detected, and said EEG signal is divided into segments in synchronization with said EKG signal, whereby said segmented EEG signals are averaged. EKG-originating noises yielded as such are subtracted from the EEG signal, whereby an actual EEG signal is derived. The resultant actual EEG signal is divided into segments in synchronization with a stimulation signal, and the segmented actual EEG signals are averaged for enhancing an evoked response signal.
