Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, electronic devices and applications for device to device control by way of an application layer protocol. In one embodiment, device to device control includes establishing a connection with a second device, the second device identified by an application, determining one or more capabilities of the second device based on a capability matching of the application, wherein determining is based on an application profile for the second device and capabilities output by the second device and controlling operation based on one or more matched capabilities.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to digital television processes and systems. In one embodiment, a method for control of a digital television includes detecting a first command for presentation of a control interface for the digital television, and presenting the control interface, wherein the control interface is presented to include an expanded tab element configured to provide a plurality of selectable elements associated with a category of the expanded tab element, and a plurality of tab elements configured in a horizontal bar configuration on a display of the digital television, the expanded tab element presented within the horizontal bar. The method also includes detecting a command for the control interface to select one of the plurality of tab elements, and updating presentation of the control interface in response to the second command, wherein the digital television presents a selected tab element with expanded configuration and provides a plurality of graphical elements.

Abstract: A method of answering an incoming call on a dual-screen mobile device comprising a main body, and two screens and two sound openings which are respectively located on two opposite surfaces of the main body is provided. The method includes: upon receiving an incoming call, an incoming call operation option is displayed on a first screen of the dual-screen mobile, an answer option is determined based on an answer operation which is performed by a user in response to the incoming call operation option, where the answer option includes answering on a second screen opposite to the first screen, and a sound of the incoming call is output from the sound opening on the surface where the second screen is located in response to that the answer option indicates answering on the second screen.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to device control and multiple input event handling. In one embodiment, a process includes detecting a plurality of input commands for control of a display device, determining a multiple input event based on the plurality of input commands, and determining a multiple input control function for the display device based on the multiple input event. The multiple input control function is determined based on input type of the multiple input event and a function of the input type of the multiple input event. The process can also includes controlling operation of the display device based on the multiple input control function, wherein controlling includes modifying display device operation from a control function associated with the plurality of input commands to a multiple input event control function.

In one embodiment, a method includes detecting one or more interface commands for navigating the graphical user interface and one or more content titles associated with an index table, analyzing the one or more interface commands for navigating the graphical user interface and the one or more content titles associated with the index table, and updating presentation of the graphical user interface based on the analyzing, wherein the graphical user interface is updated to display graphical elements based on a subset of the content titles associated with the index table and wherein navigation of the graphical user interface is modified to provide increased navigational speed for the graphical user interface. The method may also include receiving a selection for an index table and updating the graphical user interface based on the selection.

The technical solution for processing data obtained by a microphone of a terminal device includes receiving an audio recording start command sent by a second application running on the terminal while the microphone is being used by a first application running on the terminal. The technical solution further includes assigning an unoccupied data receiving port to the second application, acquiring and broadcasting audio recording data collected by the microphone through a data sending port, receiving the audio recording data by the assigned data receiving port, and sending the audio recording data to the second application by the assigned data receiving port.

In one embodiment, a method includes transmitting a discover message by a discovery engine of an application executed by the device, receiving a response message from a second device, transmitting a request to the second device for a profile and receiving an acknowledgement of the request for profile for the second device. The method can also include transmitting a request for capabilities associated with the second device, receiving acknowledgement of the request for capabilities, and transmitting a control command to the second device formatted by the application based on the acknowledgement of the request for profile. Other embodiments are directed to receiving discover messages, requests for profile information and capabilities and establishing a communication channel between devices.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for echo suppression of an input audio signal. A multimedia system and a remote control unit are configured to adaptively and dynamically preform calibration processes for obtaining sets of echo suppression parameters. The sets of echo suppression parameters are used to generate an audio signal from an input audio. When rendered by a speaker, the generated audio signal produces echo-suppressed sound of the input audio signal at one of more locations.

Abstract: A method and device for encoding a captured screenshot and controlling program switching on an electronic device based on the captured screenshot. The method includes the electronic device performing: capturing from a display a screenshot of a playing program or display content with a stored image data frame; encoding the image data frame of the screenshot, afterwards storing the encoded image data frame of the screenshot; retrieving program information data of the screenshot from a program database; embedding retrieved program information data of the captured screenshot into the encoded image data frame to form an embedded encoded image file. The embedded encoded image file enables the first electronic device or a second electronic device to directly switching to start playing the program or displaying the content on the electronic device according to the captured screenshot.
