  • Patent number: 8061947
Abstract: An apparatus includes structure defining a first hole that is characterized by an opening. A protuberance surrounds the opening and at least partially defines a concavity. A retention member is disposed within the concavity, and defines a second hole. The second hole has a first portion characterized by a first diameter and a second portion characterized by a second diameter. A threaded fastener has a flange characterized by a third diameter greater than the first diameter and less than the second diameter. The flange is disposed within the second portion of the second hole and between the first portion of the retention member hole and the first surface. Accordingly, the retention member retains the fastener in the concavity while permitting radial movement of the fastener.

  • Patent number: 7439447
Abstract: The present invention is a routable rigid conductor assembly 10 having a core conductor 20 with a plurality of insulating dielectric layers and an armored exterior layer 70 that is capable of being routed to effect electrical transmission to, for example, a hybrid vehicle electric motor. The conductor assembly 10 of the present invention may be shaped to conform to specific routing configurations required for power transmission in a wide variety of industrial applications while providing impact protection to the conductor inside the assembly.

  • Patent number: 6692299
Abstract: Connectors for forming an end electrically accessible termination on a center conductor and for electrically accessing an outer conductor of a conventional coax cable are disclosed. The use of such connectors with conventional triaxial cable in a low frequency three-phase electrical power supply application is also disclosed. The connector for accessing an intermediate conductor in a triaxial cable and for accessing an outer conductor in either a coaxial or triaxial cable features a flanged base member and a flanged cover member disposed over the base member wherein an exposed end portion of the conductor being accessed is trapped between the members, preferably including between their flanges. The flange of one of the members is folded over the flange of the other one of the members and crimped, as with a suitable crimping tool, to secure the members together with the conductor tightly sandwiched between them to form a low resistance connection between the conductor and the cover member.
