Patent number: 7814223Abstract: A transmit packet generated by a CPU 1 is held in a buffer 100a (100b). From among packets received from Ethernet 820a (820b), a packet, a destination of which is a communication device 800, is held in the buffer 100a (100b). A packet which should be transmitted is transmitted from a transfer judging circuit 200 to Ethernet 820a or 820b through a MAC unit 300a or 300b. If a transfer judging circuit 200 judges a packet from the Ethernet 820a to be a packet, a destination of which is another communication device, with reference to a destination MAC address, this packet is transferred to the Ethernet 820b through MAC 300b. If a usage rate of a transferring FIFO buffer 130a (130b) exceeds a threshold value in the process of transmitting a packet held in a transmitting FIFO buffer 120a (130b) on a priority basis, the priority order of a transfer packet is made higher than that of a transmit packet so that the transfer packet is transferred to the Ethernet 820a or 820b in preference to the transmit packet.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2008Date of Patent: October 12, 2010Assignees: Renesas Technology Corporation, Hitachi Engineering Co., Ltd., Hitachi Information & Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Hiroshi Arita, Yasuhiro Nakatsuka, Yasuwo Watanabe, Kei Ouchi, Yoshihiro Tanaka, Toshinobu Kanai, Masanobu Tanaka, Kenji Furuhashi, Tomoaki Aoki

Patent number: 6462490Abstract: A control method and apparatus of a circular accelerator can adjust a timing of emitting a charged particle beam in the circular accelerator. Generation of a clock pulse having a fixed period is suspended after acceleration of the charged particle beam has been ended and the generation of the clock pulse is resumed when a beam irradiation request is produced on the basis of a state of an object to be irradiated during the suspension state of generation of the clock pulse. An emitter is operated in accordance with the clock pulse generated again.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2000Date of Patent: October 8, 2002Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Information & Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Koji Matsuda, Takahide Nakayama

Patent number: 5940817Abstract: To generate a problem solving plan and/or a system control plan respectively in association with the contents of the problem and/or the system operation conditions, there are disposed element knowledge for storing therein problem solving methods and system control guidelines and harmonizing knowledge for selecting and/or modifying the element knowledge. Depending on the contents of the problem and/or the system operation conditions, selections and modifications are executed on the problem solving methods and system control guidelines so as to produce an optimal problem solving method and/or an optimal system control guideline. Even when the solving method, the problem solving condition, and system executing situation vary depending on a given problem solving condition and a given system executing situation, an appropriate solving plan can be proposed.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1992Date of Patent: August 17, 1999Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Information & Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Kiyomi Kishi, Setsuo Tsuruta, Toshiya Oshima, Toshihiro Eguchi

Patent number: 5659734Abstract: On knowledge information processing and especially in a plan making system such as a system for generating schedule diagrams of trains and personnel, it becomes necessary to make or modify a plan by using a plurality of work stations when the plan becomes large-sized. At this time, the work stations are provided with equal plan making function. Thus, the work stations can divide planning responsibilities. Further, work stations are provided with priorities. Thus, management of competition among a plurality of work stations is facilitated and overhead caused by communication among a plurality of devices is reduced.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 1990Date of Patent: August 19, 1997Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Information and Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Setsuo Tsuruta, Kiyomi Kishi, Kuniaki Matsumoto

Patent number: 5581759Abstract: A process controlling method and apparatus which uses a flowchart language program and ladder programs with an intermediate register accessible using the same name by both the flowchart language program and the ladder programs. Each ladder program defines the operation of a machine, including an interlock condition of the machine operation. The flowchart language program defines an automatic operation flow which sequentially activates the ladder programs using the data in the intermediate register. This arrangement allows the flowchart language program to be separated from the ladder programs improving productivity, serviceability and security of the programs.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 1994Date of Patent: December 3, 1996Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Information and Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Akihiro Ohhashi, Tadashi Okamoto, Makoto Tachikawa, Takeshi Katoh, Noboru Azusawa, Junichi Hamano, Hitoshi Saitoh

Patent number: 5483631Abstract: A network management/display processing system having a network manager and a display unit, which selects data necessary for display from management data collected from a comunication network to be managed, and converts the selected data into a display data including a display identifier which is provided by the network manager. The display unit receives the display data from the network manager and displays on its screen, a management object corresponding to the display identifier contained in the display data. An attribute value for displaying a state of the management object on the screen in a distinct color manner may be attached to the display data and transmitted from the network manager to the display unit.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1994Date of Patent: January 9, 1996Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Information & Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Yasuhiko Nagai, Ryoichi Sasaki, Sadao Niinobe, Michio Suzuki, Keizou Mizuguchi, Goro Ikeba

Patent number: 5444618Abstract: For topographic processing, a plurality of maps are stored, the maps being of different scales and therefore being based on different amounts of map data. The user selects a map of appropriate scale, and can then select a part, for example a line, on which appropriate analysis is to be made, such as obtaining a cross section based on contour data of the map. The map data corresponding to the selected part of the map is investigated and, where it does not meet an appropriate criterion, the data of a part of a map of different scale is investigated, the part of the two maps corresponding to the same region. Hence information can be derived which meets the appropriate criterion. Thus, when obtaining a cross section, if the amount of data for a region of a map is insufficient for a satisfactory cross section to be obtained, the data of the same region of a map of larger scale is analyzed, so that a satisfactory cross section can be achieved.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 1992Date of Patent: August 22, 1995Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Information Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Shinji Seki, Makoto Ibusuki, Yasuei Nomoto
