Abstract: There is provided a compact, noncontact rotary position sensor that accurately detects a rotary position of a rotating object. A magnetism throttling portion is provided in a midway point of a magnetic path. Two magnetic induction elements are disposed adjacently each other at the magnetism throttling portion. This arrangement effectively allows a magnetic flux to converge at the location, at which the magnetic induction elements are mounted. A noncontact rotary position sensor offering high sensitivity and high accuracy can then be obtained. It is also possible to simplify routing of signal lines from the two magnetic induction elements, since the two magnetic induction elements are adjacent to each other.

Abstract: In a thermal-type airflow meter that measures an intake airflow rate in an internal combustion engine of an automobile or the like, there has been a problem that pulsation errors caused by external fluctuations under the environment including a large pulsation and reverse flow in the intake valve are difficult to be reduced. In order to solve this problem, the invention provides a flowmeter comprising a detection element that outputs a non-linear signal corresponding to a flow rate, and a regulation means that regulates an output signal of the detection element for controlling. With this construction, the regulation means executes output regulation processing that regulates irregularities of the detection element in the output signal, and inequality linearization processing that regulates an average value of the output signal after the output regulation processing by means of regulating parameters.

Abstract: The invention provides a radar system, which can increase a crossrange detection speed in the lane change state by employing a steering angle sensor, etc. loaded on a vehicle without providing additional hardware. A lane-change determining unit receives a yaw rate response from a steering angle sensor, etc., and determines whether the radar-loaded vehicle is in the steering operation for lane change. If the radar-loaded vehicle is in the lane change state, a gain setting unit shifts a tracker gain to a larger value than that in ordinary running, and calculates a range, a crossrange, a relative velocity, etc. relative to a target from the results of tracker processing executed by a filtering unit. By using the calculated range, crossrange, relative velocity, etc., a control determining unit determines whether there is a collision risk, and whether steering operation to avoid a collision is required.

  • Patent number: 6014604
Abstract: The object of this invention is to reduce shift shocks by controlling the driving torque during gear shift changing so that the driving torque is represented by a smooth, ideal waveform. The driving torque calculating means estimates the output shaft torque of the automatic transmission from the engine torque characteristic or torque converter characteristic and, based on the estimated driving torque, generate a targeted torque pattern during gear shift changing. The engine torque control value calculating means calculates the control value for controlling the engine output torque, i.e., an ignition timing correction value .DELTA..theta.ig, so as to eliminate the deviation between the targeted torque and the driving torque estimated by the driving torque calculating means. This ignition timing correction approximates the driving torque to the smooth targeted torque. This configuration realizes the object mentioned above.
