  • Patent number: 5652833
Abstract: In a change-over control method for a parallel processor system including a current processor group having a plurality of processors and a network connecting the processors to each other and a standby processor group configured in the same way as for the current processor group, a processor control section is disposed in the parallel processor system, and a monitor processor is arranged for each of the current and standby processor groups. A faulty processor ratio determined according to the amount of job processing is set to the processor control section. On receiving a report notifying occurrence of a failure in a processor from the monitor processor disposed in the current processor group, the processor control section determines a ratio of failed processors in the current processor group.

  • Patent number: 5590270
Abstract: A reverse engineering method for supporting software reuse in generating an upper level software product from a lower level software product allowing the reuse of some software product's among multi-level software products ranging from an upper level data flow to a lower level job flow. The method includes the steps of: generating an upper level software product using a lower level software product; generating relational information between the lower and upper level software products; inputting a request for changing the upper level software product via an input/output interface; changing the upper level software product in response to the change request; and detecting a reusable field of the lower level software product which is not to be changed, in response to a change of the upper level software product.

  • Patent number: 5459866
Abstract: In a support system for software development implemented on a computer, a file input/output distinction related to a utility whose program can not be analyzed is preliminarily registered in the support system, job control language which is the subject of automatic production of a job flow specification is input, the job control language and a source program are analyzed and basic job flow information is produced. A job flow specification is automatically produced by deriving a file input/output distinction from a load module name in the input job control language and one of source program analysis information corresponding thereto, utility information and job control language analysis information.

  • Patent number: 5414843
Abstract: A schedule table production system includes a product table file in which a table of product names to be produced is stored, a work procedure file including a work table in which each work process with a weight added thereto is stored, a relational table in which sequence of processes is stored, a schedule file including a process table in which a start date and an end date of each work process are established, and a relational table in which a sequence of processes is stored. The system includes a schedule editing processor for calculating and editing a schedule of each work process from start and end dates of the whole work process on the basis of the weight of each work process, to automatically produce a schedule table used for producing the product.

  • Patent number: 5235165
Abstract: An automatic resident card dispensing system is provided in which in order to identify the user demanding the issue of a resident card, a question-and-answer session is held on the basis of the resident record data specific to the right user, and it is determined whether the user has entered correct answers to questions. When any of the answers is incorrect, the issue of the resident card is suspended. The system includes a resident record data base storing data items for issuing the resident card, a resident card dispensation processing section for issuing a resident card on the basis of the resident record data base, a display section for displaying questions and messages, an input section for entering answers to the questions displayed, and a user identification processing section for determining whether a right answer has been entered to each of the questions from the input section and suspending the issue of the resident card when any of the answers is incorrect.
