    Abstract: A vehicle battery control system includes: a battery module that is constituted with a plurality of cells that are connected in series; a cell controller that detects each voltage at the plurality of cells; and a battery control unit that detects a total voltage of the battery module based on a signal from a voltage sensor disposed between a contactor connected to the battery module and an inverter equipment connected to the contactor and calculates a battery state of the battery module based upon the detected total voltage. And the battery control unit calculates the battery state based upon a total value of voltages at the plurality of cells detected by the cell controller in place of the total voltage when the contactor is in an open state.
