  • Patent number: 5414470
Abstract: A sync signal generator of a television receiver for use in a vehicle has a phase reset detector for gradually absorbing a phase fluctuation of an input sync signal which occurs due to a ghost phenomenon or a fading phenomenon and reducing a phase fluctuation. The sync signal generator provides a sync signal synchronized with an output signal of the phase reset signal detector. Thus, a stable sync signal without a sudden change in phase can be obtained although it is synchronized with the input sync signal.

  • Patent number: 5229986
Abstract: If information is to be recorded on and reproduced from a recording medium in correspondence between a code train in the form of a run-length-limited code and the positions of the leading edge and the trailing edge data of a status transition pattern such as pits, recording domains, a sync signal is inserted at regular intervals in the information converted in the form of the run-length-limited code. The sync signal is constituted by a code train capable of deciding that the sync signal includes a code not existing in the conversion rule into a run-length-limited code during reproduction using a leading edge data or trailing edge data relative to the transition pattern.

  • Patent number: 5122885
Abstract: In a magnetic video recording/reproducing apparatus having a recording circuit for recording two kinds of video signals for different aspect ratios a.sub.1 and a.sub.2, where a.sub.1 >a.sub.2, a reproduced signal for aspect ratio a.sub.1 is subjected to a time-axis processing and then delivered to a monitor television having the aspect ratio a.sub.2 in order to avoid a picture on the monitor television from being so distorted as to be elongated vertically. During the time-axis processing, a Y/C interleave set-up processing and a time-axis variation correcting processing are also carried out as necessary. A reproduced signal for aspect ratio a.sub.2 is subjected to a time-axis processing and then delivered to a monitor television having the aspect ratio a.sub.1 in order to avoid a picture on the monitor television from being so distorted as to be elongated horizontally.

  • Patent number: 4962541
Abstract: Disclosed is a pattern test apparatus for detecting a fault on the basis of comparison/collation between a test reference pattern and a test target pattern, the apparatus being arranged such that a picture element area is defined by a circle with a predetermined radius on a reference matter having at test reference pattern, and when the number of the picture elements located on the reference pattern is larger than the number of the picture elements located outside the reference pattern, a part of the reference pattern corresponding to a picture element located in the center of the circle is deleted. By such an arrangement, the test reference pattern can be made analogous to the real test target pattern regardless of the shape thereof, so that misjudgment of a normal test target pattern for a fault pattern can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 4882725
Abstract: A multiplex transmission method using especially a vestigial-sideband amplitude-modulated carrier modulated by a video signal. The method includes modulating a carrier having a quadrature phase with respect to an amplitude-modulated carrier by a multiplex-transmitted signal such as a digital-coded signal with a lower level as compared with the amplitude-modulated carrier, suppressing signal components of a signal obtained by modulating the carrier by a multiplex-transmitted signal, which is located near the carrier frequency, combining the result with the amplitude-modulated carrier, and thereafter transmitting the combined signal.

  • Patent number: 4651067
Abstract: An apparatus for driving a brushless motor, in which a ripple appearing in the rotation torque of the motor is cancelled by driving the motor with a signal current whose phase is opposite to that of and which has a waveform symmetrical with that of the torque ripple waveform, so that the motor can rotate accurately without any speed variation. In order to obtain such a signal current waveform, counter-electromotive forces induced in the stator coils of the motor are detected, and the level of the signal indicative of the detected counter-electromotive forces is controlled depending on the load and rotation speed of the motor to provide a control signal for controlling the motor drive current.
