Abstract: A cassette holder which includes a cassette stage for holding a cassette, along with a pair of X-shaped pivotal right and left link mechanisms for holding the cassette stage. Each of the link mechanisms include a first end which is held by a chassis whereby the link mechanisms support the cassette stage in such a manner that the cassette stage moves upward and downward relative to the chassis along a predetermined path. Lid supporting plates are pivotally held against the right and left walls of the cassette stage, with each of the plates being engaged with one end of each of the X-shaped pivotal link mechanisms. The lid supporting plates are pivoted relative to the cassette stage in accordance with an upward and downward movement of the cassette stage.
Abstract: A thermal transfer printing apparatus comprises a recording sheet conveying passageway of a chuckless type which does not require a chuck mechanism for affixing a recording sheet to a platen roller. The recording sheet conveying passageway is constituted in loop form by at least one guide member and at least one roller for conveying the recording sheet and has at one end a recording sheet ejector for ejecting the recording sheet to outside from the conveying passageway. The recording sheet is moved through the conveying passageway repeatedly for a number of times required to perform superimposing printing by means of a thermal head. Upon completion of printing, the recording sheet is ejected from the apparatus to outside via the recording sheet ejector.

Abstract: A movement detection circuit for detecting movement information of a luminance signal and movement information of a chrominance signal of a television signal comprises a first movement detection circuit for detecting the movement information of the luminance signal and a second movement detection circuit for detecting the movement information of the chrominance signal. The first movement detection circuit detects the movement information of the luminance signal based on two signals spaced by one frame period, and the second movement detection circuit detects the movement information of the chrominance signal based on two signals spaced by two frames periods.

Abstract: In an intermittently operative phase-locked loop, in order to prevent the oscillator frequency from significantly changing at the time of turning on of an electric power source, a point in time at which a phase difference between clock signals respectively fed to a reference frequency divider and to a frequency divider for dividing the output frequency of a voltage-controlled oscillator becomes substantially zero is detected, and the two frequency dividers are initialized when the above-mentioned point in time is detected after turning on of the electric power source.

Abstract: An apparatus for driving a brushless motor, in which a ripple appearing in the rotation torque of the motor is cancelled by driving the motor with a signal current whose phase is opposite to that of and which has a waveform symmetrical with that of the torque ripple waveform, so that the motor can rotate accurately without any speed variation. In order to obtain such a signal current waveform, counter-electromotive forces induced in the stator coils of the motor are detected, and the level of the signal indicative of the detected counter-electromotive forces is controlled depending on the load and rotation speed of the motor to provide a control signal for controlling the motor drive current.

Abstract: A digital registration circuit for a multi-tube television camera wherein correction quantities corresponding to positions on a target of an image pickup tube are stored in a digital memory. The digital signal for the correction quantity read out from the digital memory is converted into an analog signal which is supplied to a low-pass filter and smoothed. The smoothed signal is sampled at a sampling frequency higher than the frequency at which the correction quantities stored in the digital memory are read out and the sampled signal is converted into a digital signal. The digital signals sequentially produced are applied to a shift register, and four sequential sample values supplied from the shift register are added together in an adder. The shift register operates in such a manner that four samples are shifted one by one every adding time. An output signal from the adder is used for correcting registration, so that the generation of shading can be prevented.

Abstract: A disk loading and unloading system (5) including a disk holding section (10, 11, 15, 16, 23) mounted for pivotal movement with respect to a main body of the system. When the disk holding section is pivotally moved outwardly away from the main body, the disk holding section moves to an upper position in which at least a portion of a disk (6) supported in the disk holding section clears the disk holding section and is exposed to view. Thus the disk can be removed from the disk holding section by holding its side edge by hand.

Abstract: A helical scan type magnetic tape recording/reproducing apparatus for recording/reproducing information, for example, a large amount of time-compressed audio PCM signals on a plurality of information tracks disposed in parallel to the direction of the tape running. Each of the time-compressed audio PCM signals are recorded with one of four frequencies of a pilot signal on a selected information track, and each of the time-compressed audio PCM signals recorded on the information tracks can be selectively reproduced from the corresponding information track. The apparatus includes a circuit for generating a plurality of track indicating pulses which respectively correspond to the information tracks and are phase-locked to the rotation of the rotating heads, and a circuit for selecting one of the track indicating pulses, which is supplied to control time compressing/expanding of an audio signal.
