  • Patent number: 7667559
Abstract: It is an objective to achieve a MEMS switch which can be mounted with a CMOS circuit and has a contact point with high reliability, both mechanically and electrically. An insulator having a compatibility with a CMOS process is formed at the contact surface of a cantilever beam constituting a MEMS switch and a fixed contact 2 opposite thereto. When the switch is used the cantilever beam is moved by applying a voltage to the pull-in electrode and the cantilever beam. After the cantilever beam makes contact with the fixed contact, a voltage exceeding the breakdown field strength of the insulator is applied to the insulator, resulting in dielectric breakdown occurring. By modifying the insulator once, the mechanical fatigue concentration point of the switch contact point is protected, and a contact point is achieved as well in which electrical signals are transmitted through the current path formed by the dielectric breakdown.

  • Patent number: 7669077
Abstract: A SAN manager acquires configuration information from devices constituting a SAN and produces a corresponding relationship between a host computer and a virtual volume (virtual volume mapping) and a corresponding relationship between the host computer and a real volume (real volume mapping). Based on those pieces of mapping information, the SAN manager outputs a corresponding relationship between virtual and real volumes. Meanwhile, the failure notification messages received from the in-SAN devices are construed to detect and output an influence of the failure upon the access to a real or virtual volume. Furthermore, when receiving a plurality of failure notifications from the devices connected to the SAN, the plurality of failure notifications are outputted with an association based on the corresponding relationship between real and virtual volumes.

  • Patent number: 7667798
Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device which can enhance quality and reliability of image display by preventing the generation of bubbles in the inside of a liquid crystal display panel and, at the same time, by suppressing leaking of light from an end of a black matrix film. In the liquid crystal display panel which sandwiches a liquid crystal layer between two glass substrates, the liquid crystal layer is surrounded by a sealing material having a predetermined width. On one glass substrate, a black matrix film and an overcoat film are arranged from one-glass-substrate side such that the black matrix film and the overcoat film overlap the sealing material. The black matrix film is, in the widthwise direction of the sealing material, formed into a planar flat black matrix film until a middle position of the sealing material from a side on which the liquid crystal layer is arranged, and is formed into a slit-shaped slit black matrix film from the middle position.

  • Patent number: 7667212
Abstract: Certain film deposition and selective etching technology may involve scanning of a charged particle beam along with a deposition gas and etching gas, respectively. In conventional methods, unfortunately, the deposition rate or the selective ratio is oftentimes decreased depending on optical system setting, scan spacing, dwell time, loop time, substrate, etc. Accordingly, an apparatus is provided for finding an optical system setting, a dwell time, and a scan spacing. These parameters are found to realize the optimal scanning method of the charged particle beam from the loop time dependence of the deposition rate or etching rate. This deposition rate or etching rate are measurements stored in advance for a desired irradiation region where film deposition or selective etching should be performed. The apparatus displays a result of its judgment on a display device.

  • Patent number: 7668581
Abstract: A CAM (current arrow map) 71 and another CAM 72 are obtained from magnetocardiogram waveforms measured from both front and back sides of a subject using data at a point of time of an R-wave peak, then the coordinates of the CAM 72 are inverted in both x and y axis directions to obtain a CAM 73. The coordinates of each of the CAMs 71 and 73 are converted to polar coordinates to obtain CAMs 74 and 75 at both front and back sides of the subject. After that, the CAM 74 is adjusted to the CAM 76 in scale to obtain a CAM 76 , and CAMs 74 and 76 are combined. Then, the CAM data at measuring points on each measuring-points-missing radius vector is inserted through an arithmetic processing by interpolation so that CAM data at every measuring point on a planispheric chart 77 are connected to each another consecutively.
