Abstract: A support device of a propeller shaft comprises an annular bracket fixed to a floor member of a vehicle body; an annular elastic member disposed in the annular bracket; an annular supporting structure disposed in the annular elastic member and rotatably supporting a cylindrical given portion of the propeller shaft through a ball bearing unit; and an annular seal member intimately disposed in an annular space defined between the annular supporting structure and the cylindrical given portion of the propeller shaft. One of outer and inner cylindrical surfaces of the annular seal member is in slidable contact with either one of an inner cylindrical surface of the annular supporting structure and an outer cylindrical surface of the cylindrical given portion of the propeller shaft.
Abstract: In an optical disk drive device, in order to reduce structural vibration noise and aerodynamic sound during high-speed revolution, a recess is formed at the deeper end. This recess is in a position axially symmetric to a hole for the movement of an optical head with respect to the axis of a spindle motor, and its size is substantially equal to that of the movement hole. This recess serves to suppress the vibration mode of a disk tray and the air flow between the disk and the disk tray. Noise is reduced even when the disk is turning at high speed.
Abstract: A service system which includes the monitoring center which has a customer database, an operation information database for storing operation information of the air conditioners for each customer, and a device information database 203 having device information on the air conditioners related with each customer of the customer database. When the system decides that there is anomaly in the operation information, the monitoring center sends to the cellular phone over the Internet information representing the content of the anomaly and customer and device information associated with the operation information which was judged abnormal.
Abstract: A technology for a semiconductor integrated circuitry allows each of the DRAM memory cells to be divided finely so as to be more highly integrated and operate faster. In a method of manufacturing such a semiconductor integrated circuit, at first, gate electrodes 7 are formed via a gate insulating film 6 on the main surface of a semiconductor substrate 1, and on side surfaces of each of the gate electrodes there is formed a first side wall spacer 14 composed of silicon nitride and a second side wall spacer 15 composed of silicon oxide. Then, in the selecting MISFET Qs in the DRAM memory cell area there are opened connecting holes 19 and 21 in a self-matching manner with respect to the first side wall spacers 14 and connecting portion is formed connecting a conductor 20 to a bit line BL.

Abstract: A life management system for high-temperature parts of a gas turbine has one server system 3 and a plurality of client systems 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d, all of which are connected via an Intranet. Further, the server system 3 manages a program for performing evaluation of the remaining life and the life management, and each of the client systems 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d has a subprogram for accessing the database 4 and for entering data respectively. The clients are dedicated to different objects and share respective element data such as real component damage, design, materials, etc. which are necessary for the evaluation of the remaining life. Further, this system enables the operation of the gas turbine to be optimized based on the damage of the evaluated parts, hence contributing to operational cost reduction of the gas turbine.

Abstract: An inverter device includes plural modules, each module being formed by a series circuit having a parallel circuit of a switching device and a first diode, and a parallel circuit of a second switching device and a second diode, allowing a reduced size, high reliability, high frequency switching and low noise. Each of the semiconductor modules includes a plurality of switching device chips and at least one diode chip formed on a metal substrate. Electrode plates are provided in locations of the module adjacent to the switching device chips and the diode chips to facilitate connection of the electrodes of the respective chips to one another and to the outside of the module.
Abstract: A remote surgery supporting system and a method thereof produces a presentation of realism control data generated by realism control data generating means 101 from image data obtained from work environment data detecting means 104 and measurement data processing means 118 and from force and proximity data. While viewing this presentation, the surgical operator inputs actions through action command inputting means 114 and thereafter, diseased tissue manipulating means 102 executes a procedure on diseased part 125. The manipulation force of each surgical operator received from manipulation command generating means 103 and force reflection from the diseased part 125 are combined and presented to the action command inputting means 114. Thereby, a plurality of surgical operators can perform a surgerical operation while viewing the realism control data and sensing the manipulation force of other surgical operators and the force reflection from the diseased part.
Abstract: A device according to the present invention is a miniaturized efficient device wherein electromechanical transduction is enabled and which is provided with at least an integrated electrostatic actuator provide with an actuator in which a fixed portion and a movable portion are opposite, a plurality of which are arranged and the relative amount of movement of which is controlled by controlling electrostatic force operating between both, the movable portion moved by the integrated electrostatic actuator and a portion connected to the movable portion which can be operated mechanically. The probe of a scanning probe microscope is provided to the movable portion of the above actuator. The above transducer is provided with the structure in which a large number of such actuators are arranged two- or one-dimensionally.
Abstract: In a spread sheet calculation apparatus, a spread sheet data table stores spread sheet data such as a sales table, a calculation formula table stores calculation formulas defining the calculation of the spread sheet data and a display device displays the spread sheet data and the calculation formula. When a desired area on a display screen is designated by an input device to enter data, a calculation formula control unit searches for a calculation formula which relates to the designated area from the calculation formula table and executes the calculation formula. A spread sheet data control unit updates the data of related areas of the spread sheet data table. A reference area extracting unit extracts the area which is to be updated by the calculation formula, and a display attribute control unit changes a display attribute (for example, meshing) of the data of the corresponding area in the spread sheet data table.
