Patents Assigned to HMC-Brauer Limited
  • Patent number: 6279886
Abstract: A power clamp includes a body member (2), an arm member (14) connected to the body member by means of a pivot joint (16) to allow pivoting movement of the arm member between an open position and a closed position, an actuator (10), a first drive mechanism (42) connecting the actuator (10) to the arm member (14) to control movement thereof, and a second drive mechanism (20,28) connecting the actuator (10) to the arm member (14) to apply a clamping force to the arm member when the arm member is in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 5860639
Abstract: A clamp for clamping a workpiece comprises a base member, a clamping member mounted on the base member for limited linear and rotational movement relative thereto and a drive member mounted on the base member for rotational movement relative thereto. First and second cam elements are provided on the drive member and the clamping member and arranged such that relative rotation of the drive member and the clamping member produces relative linear movement thereof. The clamp includes a lost motion mechanism whereby rotation of the drive member can produce limited rotational movement of the clamping member without causing linear movement thereof.

  • Patent number: 4078781
Abstract: An adjustable clamp has its main bar formed from flat metal strip with serrations in one edge and a fixed arm may be formed by a bent-around end of this strip. The moving arm can be formed from two flat stampings from strip and a fine adjustment is provided by a screw on this arm, engaging the non-serrated edge of the bar, while the coarse adjustment is provided by a bush or pin between the stampings engaging the serrated edge.
