  • Patent number: 7195735
Abstract: A porous sintered metal comprising voids at least partially communicating with each other, and pores provided in walls of the voids, the porous sintered metal having a BET surface area of 700 cm2/cm3 or more, and an average diameter of the pores being 1 ?m or more when measured by a mercury press-in method. The porous sintered metal is produced by blending a metal powder, a binder and resin particles to prepare a mixture in which the resin particles are dispersed; molding the mixture to provide a green body; selectively extracting the resin particles from the green body with a solvent; debinding the extracted green body by heating; and sintering the debound green body.

  • Patent number: 6698324
Abstract: A punch unit (1) is provided with: a punch (2), which is reciprocally driven in a punching operation; and, a die (3), which cooperates with the punch (2) in punching a hole in a soft metal sheet (i.e., workpiece not shown). In this punch unit (1): punch guides (12, 13a) and the die (3) are integrally formed into a punch block (11); and a radial clearance between the punch (2) and the die (3) is set at a value of from 4 to 15% of a thickness of the soft metal sheet to be punched; and, the punch unit (1) is further provided with a sheet hold-down means (5) the sheet hold-down means (5) functioning to hold down the soft metal sheet when the soft metal sheet is punched.

  • Patent number: 6622601
Abstract: A punch unit (1) having a punch (2) that is reciprocally driven in a punching operation; and, a die (3) cooperating with the punch (2) in punching a punch hole in a soft metal sheet. A cleaning means scrapes a soft metal sheet's fragment, when the fragment is stuck to the punch (2), off of the punch (2). The cleaning means scrapes the fragment by reciprocally moving the punch (2) Further provided in the unit (1) is a punch drive and control circuit (25). The circuit (25) enables the punch to be (2) to perform lost motion at predetermined time intervals. Lost motion enables the punch (2) to scrape the fragment of the soft metal sheet off a surface of the punch (2). Consequently, the fragment of the soft metal sheet does not remain stuck to the punch (2) in the punching operation.

  • Patent number: 6453556
Abstract: Disclosed is a producing method of an exhaust gas vane blade for superchargers of motor vehicles. The vane blade consists of a pivot part and a blade part with a streamlined section, which are integrally formed with each other. The vane blade is made of a heat resisting steel. The diameter of the pivot part is larger than the thickness of the blade part. The method comprises a multi-step cold-forging of a blank material of the above steel.

  • Patent number: 6306196
Abstract: Disclosed is a sintered Ti-based material product derived from injection molding of a powder material. The outer layer region of the product comprises a lower amount of carbon than the inner layer region of the same. The inner layer region comprises a Ti-based carbide which has an average grain size of not less than 1 &mgr;m and which is dispersed in the inner structure to have an area fraction of not less than 0.1% to not more than 20%. The outer layer region comprises a lower amount of Ti-based carbide than the inner layer region. There can be observed an area fraction of less than 0.1% of the Ti-based carbide at the surface of the sintered Ti-based material product.

  • Patent number: 5881623
Abstract: There is disclosed a construction in which the shaking of a cutting carriage due to a clearance is prevented, thereby enhancing cutting precision. The cutting carriage includes at least one rotary blade for cutting a sheet, and a pair of opposed driven rotary members held respectively against obverse and reverse surfaces of a guide track member, said pair of driven rotary members being rotated in accordance with the movement of the cutting carriage along said guide track member. The cutting carriage for sheet cutting can include a pair of rotary blades which are forcibly rotated respectively by the pair of driven rotary members when these driven rotary members are rotated. Preferably, the pair of rotary blades are held in press-contact with each other at a toe-in angle.
