Abstract: A fungal strain of the genus Trichoderma with the designation HSA12 and compositions that contain said fungal strain or spores thereof is disclosed. The fungal strain or spores thereof are promoting stabilizing plant growth, increasing the yields of crops, inoculating soil, roots and/or above-ground plant parts with the fungal strain or spores with compositions containing said fungal strain or spores thereof, to increase the efficiency of nutrient intake and to improve the stress tolerance of crops as well as improving the structure and health of the soil or for decontaminating or remediating soil or a body of water and for stabilizing or reestablishing endangered or desired wild plant populations. Also disclosed is a set of primer pairs for amplifying microsatellite loci of the genome of the fungal strain in order to determine molecular markers and to identify the fungal strain. A method for determining the fungal strain is also disclosed.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a filter substrate for filtering and optically characterizing microparticles. The filter substrate comprises a wafer having a thickness of at least 100 pm and a transmittance of at least 10% for radiation in the wavelength range of 2500 nm to 15000 nm. Furthermore, the surface of the front side and/or the surface of the rear side of the wafer is completely or partially provided with an antireflective layer, which prevents the optical reflection of radiation in the wavelength range of 200 nm to 10000 nm. Moreover, the wafer has, at least in some regions, filter holes having a diameter of 1 pm to 5 mm. With the filter substrate according to the invention, microparticles can be filtered and the microparticles on the filter substrate can be subsequently optically characterized with very high measurement quality.

Abstract: A method for performing a bandwidth test for communications from a first network station to a second network station of a communication network is based on the probe rate model (PRM) in which iteratively a train of probe sample packets is transmitted from the first station to the second station with a constant packet rate per iteration. The packet rate is adapted to the available bandwidth on the data pipe per iteration. According to the disclosure the number of probe packets per train of probe sample packets is varied with the available bandwidth per iteration. This increases the accuracy of the test, in particular, in the range where a high data rate is available on the data pipe. A step decreasing factor (SDF) is applied with which the performance test is improved. Such step decreasing factor is dependent on the network jitter and further improves the performance of the test.
