The compounds of the invention are used as vitronectin receptor antagonists and as inhibitors of bone resorption.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of mixtures of synthetic, crystalline kenyaite and salts which split off oxygen. For this purpose, 1 mol of soda-water glass which has a molar ratio of SiO.sub.2 :Na.sub.2 O=1:(0.25 to 0.5) is mixed with 0.1 to 0.9 mol of a compound which has a pH of less than 10.5 in molar aqueous concentration, as a neutralizing agent. In the presence of kenyaite seed crystals, the reaction mixture is heated at temperatures from 373 to 523 K. in an autoclave for 1 to 10 hours and, after cooling, 0.15 to 1.5 mol of hydrogen peroxide are added per mol of soda-water glass employed. The solid is isolated from the reaction suspension as dry substance.

Abstract: A very active catalyst system for olefin polymerization comprises a cocatalyst, preferably an aluminoxane, and a metallocene of the formula I ##STR1## in which, preferably, M.sup.1 is Zr or Hf, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are alkyl or halogen, R.sup.3 is hydrogen, R.sup.4 to R.sup.6 are alkyl or aryl, --(CR.sup.8 R.sup.9).sub.m --R.sup.7 --(CR.sup.8 R.sup.9).sub.n is a single- or multi-membered chain, in which R.sup.7 can also be a (substituted) hetero atom, and m+n is zero or 1.

Abstract: A description is given of a process for the preparation of a compound of the formula I ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 (identical or different) represent H, alkyl having 1-2 carbon atoms and F, Cl, Br or I;R.sup.4 represents H, alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms, n represents the numbers 2-5, andR.sup.5 represents a radical which can be eliminated under physiological conditions or represents hydrogen, and its physiologically tolerated salts.They are effective remedies for diarrhea.

Abstract: The reaction for the preparation of 1-oxa-3,8-diaza-4-oxo-spiro[4.5]decane compounds of the formula ##STR1## proceeds more rapidly and more completely if it is performed in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst in an aromatic hydrocarbon which is liquid at room temperature.
