Abstract: The invention relates to a nucleic acid construct for expressing an active substance which is activated by an enzyme which is released from mammalian cells, which construct comprises the following components: a) at least one promoter element, b) at least one DNA sequence which encodes an active compound (protein B) c) a least one DNA sequence which encodes an amino acid sequence (part structure C) which can be cleaved specifically by an enzyme which is released from a mammalian cell, and d) at least one DNA sequence which encodes a peptide or protein (part structure D) which is bound to the active compound (protein B) by way of the cleavable amino acid sequence (part structure C) and inhibits the activity of the active compound (protein B), and also to the use of the nucleic acid construct for preparing a drug for treating diseases.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula I ##STR1## in which B, D, E, R, W, Y, Z, b, c, d, e, f, g and have the meanings indicated in the claims, are inhibitors of the adhesion and migration of leucocytes and/or antagonists of the adhesion receptor VLA-4 which belongs to the group of integrins. The invention relates to the use of compounds of the formula I, and of pharmaceutical preparations which contain such compounds, for the treatment and prophylaxis of diseases which are caused by an un desired extent of leucocyte adhesion and/or leucocyte migration or which are associated therewith or in which cell--cell or cell-matrix interactions play a part which are based on interactions of VLA-4 receptors with their ligands, for example of inflammatory processes, rheumatoid arthritis or allergic disorders, and it also relates to the use of compounds of the formula I for the production of pharmaceuticals for use in such diseases. It further relates to novel compounds of the formula I.

Abstract: Modified cyclopentadiene resins comprising essentiallya) 20 to 80% by weight of cyclopentadiene compounds,b) 1 to 40% by weight of natural resin acids andc) 31 to 70% by weight of phenol resins. These compounds are suitable as binder resins for printing inks. They are distinguished by excellent compatibility with aromatics-free mineral oils and with vegetable oils.

Abstract: Modified bitumens, processes for their preparation, their use and solubilizing agents for plasticized polyvinyl butyral in bitumen.Preparation of modified bitumens having improved elasticity properties and an improved low-temperature flexibility by homogeneous mixing of plasticized polyvinyl butyral (PVB) into molten bitumen at 150.degree. to 300.degree. C., simultaneously using mono-, oligo- or polyalkylene glycol dialkyl ethers as solubilizing agents, if appropriate in combination with polystyrene as solubilizing co-component. Process for the preparation of the modified bitumens and possible uses thereof in industrial fields in which bitumens elasticized by conventional methods have hitherto been employed or required.
Abstract: Crosslinked polymer microparticles based on epoxy resin obtained by polymerization of aqueous dispersions (A) of compounds containing epoxide groups in the presence of up to 0.2 mol, preferably 0.02 to 0.15 mol (based on the nitrogen contained in (B)) of a nitrogen-containing organic compound (B) per epoxide equivalent and subsequent isolation which are preferably in the form of aqueous dispersions thereof, and are suitable as organic fillers, pigments, matting agents and/or reinforcing agents for binder systems and individual components thereof, paint formulations, coating and molding compositions, intermediate coatings, adhesives and the like, preferably based on water.
