Patent number: 5822808Abstract: A hydromassage device for use in a bathtub includes a battery casing to hold electrical batteries, preferably chargeable batteries, which are connected to a drive motor for a pump, where a pump casing, a motor casing and a battery casing are connected to one another and at least one of the casings is equipped with a holding arrangement for attaching the device to the wall of the tub. The battery casing and the motor casing are separate, detachably connected waterproof casings, the battery casing and the motor casing having on their outer walls contact members forming contacts with each other when in the operating state the two casings are connected to each other, in each casing forming contact pairs, to which the batteries or the drive motor are connected. In the operating state, at least one sealing arrangement gives the region of the contact pairs a waterproof seal.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1996Date of Patent: October 20, 1998Assignee: Hoesch Metall + Kunststoffwerk GmbHInventor: Hans-Peter Esser

Patent number: 5142714Abstract: A nozzle assembly for discharging a mixture of first and second fluids includes a housing having inlets for introducting the first and second fluids into the housing; and a sleeve disposed in and affixed to the housing and receiving the second fluid from one of the inlets. There is further provided a holding ring disposed in the housing and surrounding the sleeve. The holding ring may be displaced relative to the sleeve in a direction parallel to the sleeve length. A nozzle body is situated in the housing and has a spherical member surrounding the sleeve and a nozzle outlet member. The nozzle body has a sealing face situated inside the spherical member and cooperating with a spherical sealing face of the sleeve for determining therewith a variable annular gap constituting a flow passage area for the first fluid. The nozzle body is held captive in the holding ring and may pivot therein. The nozzle body and the holding ring move substantially as a unit upon longitudinal displacement of the holding ring.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1990Date of Patent: September 1, 1992Assignee: Hoesch Metall & Kunststoffwerk GmbH & Co.Inventor: Manfred Klotzbach
