Abstract: A cover is provided for an air conditioner of an enclosure. The cover can include a top wall and first and second side walls that at least partly define an interior compartment of the cover. The cover can further include a tab extending from the top wall into the interior compartment, a first side clip extending obliquely from the first side wall into the interior compartment, and a second side clip extending obliquely from the second side wall to the interior compartment. The tab and side clips can be configured to engage the air conditioner to retain the cover on the air conditioner.

Abstract: A server rack assembly is provided for an electronics tray and a manifold for delivery of cooling flow to the electronics tray. Mounting and alignment features on the server rack assembly, such as alignment holes and planar support surfaces, can help to provide predictable alignment between fluid ports on the manifold and fluid ports on the electronics tray. The server rack assembly can include a mounting and alignment interface coupled to the manifold and a rack support that can be coupled to the mounting and alignment interface. An equipment stop can be coupled to the rack support and can extend perpendicular to a side portion of the rack support. The equipment stop can be configured to prevent the electronics tray from being installed beyond a predetermined distance.

Abstract: Systems and methods for mounting a panel to a wiring cabinet are provided. The wiring cabinet can include a frame profile with a frame profile opening and the panel can have a panel opening. A fastening element used to mount the panel to the wiring cabinet can include an expanding rivet with an opening and at least two rivet legs. The expanding rivet can be received through the panel opening and the frame profile opening when aligned. The fastener can also include an expanding body that can be inserted into the opening of the expanding rivet so that the rivet legs are forced apart to cause the rivet legs to engage the frame profile.

Abstract: A sealing arrangement for an enclosure is provided. The sealing arrangement can include an offset and an open hem. The open hem can have an inner perimeter that defines an opening of the enclosure and an outer perimeter with radiused corners configured to receive a continuous gasket to seal the enclosure.

Abstract: A retainer for securing a manifold can include an aperture that can be positioned adjacent to a retention portion of a keyhole slot in a mounting structure. The retainer can be flexed away from the mounting structure when a mounting protrusion on the manifold extends through a receiving portion of the keyhole slot. The retainer can resiliently move toward the mounting structure when the mounting protrusion is moved into the retention portion of the keyhole slot to capture the mounting protrusion within the retention portion of the keyhole slot.

Abstract: An attachment system to secure an enclosure cover over an enclosure opening is provided. The attachment system includes an outer insert, an anchor block, and a locking body. The outer insert extends through the enclosure cover and includes an anchor portion that extends at least partly to an inner side of the enclosure. The anchor block, which includes one or more flexible arms that are configured to engage an interior structure of the enclosure, can be secured to the anchor portion of the outer insert. The locking body can be rotatably secured relative to the anchor block and can be rotated from an outer side of the enclosure cover between a locked orientation and an unlocked orientation.

Abstract: Support brackets for an enclosure system can be secured to the enclosure system while the enclosure system is assembled and without removing fasteners from the enclosure system. A support bracket can include first and second slots dimensioned to engage first and second bolts that are fastened to an enclosure frame. The support bracket can further include a support flange, and a stud to engage and support a side panel. When secured to the support bracket, the side panel can provide an additional mounting surface for mounting electrical components within an enclosure.

Abstract: A glider tool can be provided for installing a back panel of an enclosure. The glider tool can include a body having a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first end, and a second end opposite the first end, the body defining a length that extends from the first end to the second end. The first end of the body can be configured to engage a front frame member of the enclosure, and the second end of the body can be configured to contact the enclosure, when the glider tool is in an installed configuration.

Abstract: A hole seal is provided that can include a plate having a surface configured to face away from an enclosure wall of an enclosure, and a peripheral extension that is angled away from the surface. The hole seal can include a stud coupled to and extending away from the plate, a gasket, a retaining member configured to engage an enclosure wall of an enclosure opposite the gasket, and a fastener. The fastener is configured to threadingly engage the stud and be advanced along the stud to urge the retaining member against the enclosure wall, thereby urging a peripheral extension of the plate into the gasket, via compression of the gasket against an exterior surface of the enclosure wall.

Abstract: A system or method can be used to monitor operations of a heat exchanger, such as a condenser of an air conditioning system, that includes a header plate. A temperature sensor can be secured to the header plate to measure a temperature of the header plate as a proxy for a temperature or a pressure of a working fluid of the heat exchanger.

Abstract: A shroud assembly can include a support frame with a locking slot and a hinge slot, and a shroud with a first pin and a second pin. The locking slot can receive the first pin to secure the shroud in a closed configuration. The hinge slot can receive the second pin to support the shroud in the closed configuration, in an open configuration, and during hinging of the shroud between the closed and open configurations. A tab can engage a notch to support the shroud at a predetermined angle relative to the support frame when the shroud is in the open configuration.

Abstract: A thermal management system for an enclosure containing electrical components includes a cooling unit for controlling temperature inside the enclosure and a controller for the cooling unit, the controller being configured so that it can receive a three-phase power input signal and distribute power and control connected components using the three-phase signal. The controller can protect the compressor in critical scenarios such as thermal overload and overcurrent. The controller can output various faults such as missing phase alarm, imbalance phase alarm, overcurrent alarm, thermal overload alarm, door open alarm, and temperature and pressure alarms. An auto phase sequence correction controls the phase relay, accepting 3 phase 480 VAC power input from facility power terminal, supplying 3 phase power to the compressor and motor impellers, 12V DC power to a display unit, and 24V DC power to a remote access control module.

Abstract: An interlock for an enclosure can include a primary door activator with an activator arm, a secondary door activator, and a rotatable arrangement that links the primary and secondary door activators. The activator arm can block a primary door of the enclosure from being closed when the activator arm is in an open configuration. The activator arm can be configured to rotate with the rotatable arrangement in a first direction towards the open configuration as the primary door is opened, and in a second direction away from the open configuration as the primary door is closed. The secondary door activator can be configured to engage the rotatable arrangement to prevent rotation of the rotatable arrangement when the secondary door is open, and to permit rotation of the rotatable arrangement when the secondary door is closed.

Abstract: A filter housing can support filter media for a fan arrangement. The filter housing can include a filter body with a first opening at a first end and a second opening at a second end. A bell portion can be disposed between the air inlet opening and the air outlet opening and can define a cavity within the housing body. An air-permeable filter support can extend into the cavity to support the filter media within the cavity, with the filter media spaced apart from at least one of the first and second openings.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a system and a method for mounting a panel within an enclosure. Using one or more sets of mounting blocks, the panel and a frame of the enclosure can be secured together in respective horizontal orientations, then collectively rotated to a vertical orientation. The one or more sets of mounting blocks can include a set of stop blocks, each including a respective tongue, and a set of slide blocks, each defining a respective recess when seated on a frame member of the enclosure frame. Each tongue can be configured to nest within a corresponding recess when the mounting blocks secure the panel to a corresponding frame member.

Abstract: A thermal management system for an enclosure containing electrical components includes a thermoelectric cooling unit for controlling temperature inside the enclosure and a controller for the cooling unit, the controller being configured so that it can be installed within and protected by the enclosure, rather than requiring its own separate secure enclosure. The controller can further be installed within a housing of the thermoelectric cooling unit, which housing does not increase the footprint of the cooling unit. The housing can include a cover that separates the space within the housing into two compartments, with the controller mounted at an angle that allows the controller to fit within one of the compartments and under the cover.

Abstract: A float drain for an enclosure can include a basket to collect liquid from the enclosure, a sealing structure surrounding an outlet of the basket, and a float configured to seat against the sealing surface to prevent fluid flow out of the outlet and to rise off of the sealing surface due to buoyancy forces as the liquid collects in the basket. The float drain can include other features, including: ribs or other protrusions extending into an interior are of the basket to space the float apart from an inner wall of the basket; an angled orientation of the sealing surface; and a trough, at least partly defined by the sealing structure, to collect debris.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a rod guide for mounting a latch rod to an enclosure. A guide member can include a guide-member support surface and a guide opening to receive the latch rod. A base member can include a base-member support surface. The base member can support the guide member with the guide opening at different distances from the surface of the enclosure when the guide-member support surface is seated on the base-member support surface with the guide member disposed at different respective rotational orientations relative to the base member.
