  • Patent number: 6273406
Abstract: A first bushing rubber and a first collar are integrally fixed to an outer periphery of a left end of an inner tube which supports a spherical portion of a support shaft for rotation through a bearing. A second bushing rubber and a second collar are integrally fixed to an inner periphery of a right end of an outer tube which is disposed outside the inner tube. A liquid chamber, containing a liquid encapsulated therein, is defined between the first and second bushing rubbers by axially placing the outer tube over the outside of the inner tube, fixing the outer tube to the first collar by caulking, and fixing the second collar to the inner tube by press-fitting. Thus, it is possible to easily determine the spring characteristics of the first and second bushing rubbers and the sectional shape of the liquid chamber.

  • Patent number: 6103852
Abstract: A method for preparing an amorphous polymer chain in an elastomer which permits use of previously unavailable monomers while permitting control of crystallizability of the amorphous polymer chain. The method of the present invention thus permits an increased range of industrial scale production by broadening the range of raw materials which can be used and by increasing the design options in constructing the chain.

  • Patent number: 6027617
Abstract: A gas reactor includes a dielectric casing made of a dielectric material and forming a first conduit for directing first gas in one direction, a first electrode positioned inside the dielectric casing along a general center thereof and extending in the direction, at least one catalyst layer formed on a surface of the first electrode, and a second electrode surrounding an outer wall of the dielectric casing. The gas reactor further includes a power-supply unit applying AC power between the first electrode and the second electrode to generate glow discharge inside the dielectric casing.

  • Patent number: 5693886
Abstract: A pressure sensor, having a simple structure for accurately measuring any one of pressure and weight, is provided. The pressure sensor includes a pair of electrode layers and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is composed of a rubber elastic body positioned between the pair of electrode layers to act as a spacer for the pair of electrode layers. The dielectric layer has a tan .delta., at 1 to 30 Hz at a temperature of 10.degree. C. to 30.degree. C., of 0.03 or less. The dielectric layer also has a rubber hardness of 20 to 80 degrees in terms of scale A according to JIS-K-6301 at 10.degree. C. to 30.degree. C. Further, the dielectric layer has an impact resilience of 75% or more measured according to JIS-K-6301 at 10.degree. C. to 30.degree. C. and a compression set of 3% or less measured according to JIS-K-6301 at 10.degree. C. to 30.degree. C. The dielectric layer is formed of any one of natural rubber, polybutadiene rubber, polyisoprene rubber, polyurethane rubber and silicone rubber.

  • Patent number: 5035499
Abstract: Spectacles having a lens frame corner and an engaging arm end. The lens frame corner includes a parallelepiped block extending from the lens frame and having a top and a bottom surfaces. Each of the top and bottom surfaces of the block has a recess or a hole, a first groove having a semicircular section, and a second groove having a semicircular section at right angle with the first grooves. The arm end include a pair of parallel planar strips. The distance between the upper strip and the lower strip is such that it allows forcible insertion of the block of the frame corner. Each of the strip has a cylindrical projection facing each other which, in use, is inserted into the recess or the hole of the block and a linear projection having a semicircular section, which, in use, is inserted into one of the grooves of the block.
