Abstract: Single phase or polyphase switchgear having one or more switches which are mounted with the aid of solid insulation such that they are insulated, as well as associated live components such as rail systems, connectors and the like. Both the switches and the associated live components are housed in a housing enveloping the switches and live components. The enveloping housing is filled with air having a low moisture content and the interior space thereof is sealed with respect to the exterior space around the enveloping housing in such a way that the air present in the housing is not contaminated and will not reach the dew point.

Abstract: Switch with a fixed set of contacts and a movable set of contacts. The fixed set of contacts comprises at least one pair of fixed contacts arranged a distance apart and each having an auxiliary contact part and a main contact part. The movable set of contacts comprises at least one auxiliary contact element and a main contact element, which, when the switch is closed, are in contact, under mechanical pre-stress, with the surface of the auxiliary contact part and of the main contact part of the pair of fixed contacts and bridge the distance between the free end edges thereof facing one another, the various features being such that when the switch is closed the auxiliary contact element and the main contact element make contact more or less simultaneously with the auxiliary and with the main contact parts of the pair of fixed contacts.

Abstract: Set of movable contacts for a switch with a set of fixed that comprises at least one pair of a fixed contacts arranged a distance apart, comprising at least one contact element (1), a holder (2) therefor and a resilient element (6). When the switch is in the closed position the contact element (1) is in contact, under mechanical prestress, with the surface of the pair of fixed contacts and bridges the distance between the free end edges thereof facing one another. The holder body (2) has a front and rear face running perpendicularly to the direction of movement thereof and side faces (3) running perpendicularly to said front and rear faces and parallel to the direction of movement. A side face (3) is provided with a longitudinal recess (4) continuing to the end faces (5) of the holder body for accommodating the contact element (1) in such a way that the ends thereof protrude beyond the two end faces (5) of the hodler body (2).

Abstract: A trip system for an electrical switch comprises first and second magnetic circuits are formed by a yoke and an armature. The second magnetic circuit has a magnetic resistance in a first position of the armature, which resistance is higher than that of the first magnetic circuit and increases in the movement of the armature from the first to the second position.

Abstract: Monitoring circuit for monitoring a voltage, comprising a coil, which is incorporated in a first current branch to be connected to the voltage to be monitored, and an auxiliary relay, the actuating winding of which is incorporated in a second current branch connected in parallel to the first current branch. In the first current branch a first make contact of the auxiliary relay is connected in series with the coil. In the second current branch a first resistor is connected in series with the actuating winding of the auxiliary relay. A series circuit consisting of a second resister and a second make contact of the auxiliary relay is connected in parallel to the actuating winding of the auxiliary relay.

Abstract: A switch includes two interacting contacts (1, 2) and a closing spring (5, 11, 15, 21) for moving the contacts into the closed position, an operating button which can be used to initiate a prestressing phase of the closing spring (5, 11, 15, 21), and a locking device (6) for locking the contacts (1, 2) until a predetermined moment at which the influence of the prestressed closing spring (5, 11, 15, 21) is to be released onto the contacts. The locking device (6) is designated to lock the interacting contacts (1, 2), during the prestressing phase, at a contact distance. The contact distance to be locked being less than the contact distance in the open position of the contacts (1, 2).

At least one of the strips has U-shaped section adjacent to its contact, the opening of the U-shaped section facing away from the window. Abstract: Electromagnetic actuator for moving a contact into a switched-on or switched-off state, comprising a contact-actuating rod which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction between a first position, corresponding to the switched-off state, and a second position, corresponding to the switched-on state. A core which is made of magnetizable material and interacts with a switch-on coil is attached to the contact-actuating rod. Also present is a pole piece which is made of magnetizable material and of which that face which is directed towards the core, in the first position of the contact-actuating rod, is arranged at an air-gap distance from that surface of the core which is directed perpendicular to the direction of displacement, and in the second position bears as closely as possible against the said core surface. The actuator furthermore comprises a yoke made of magnetizable material for closing the magnetic flux circuit of the switch-on coil through the pole piece and the core.
