    Abstract: A bus-bar conductor system for electrical high voltage systems, wherein electrically conducting bus-bars are mounted in an enclosing compartment. A common support body for supporting one or more supporting insulators, to which the bus-bars are attached, extends freely or essentially freely in the compartment in the longitudinal direction of the bus-bars. The support body is preferably supported by support elements arranged at the outer ends of the compartment. The support body can itself be designed as a conducting bus-bar.

    Abstract: A drive mechanism for a circuit breaker or power switch made up of at least one switching unit and comprising a biasing mechanism which can act upon the switching unit, with actuating mechanism for biasing the biasing mechanism, drive mechanism for driving the switching unit under the influence of the energy stored in the biasing mechanism, and mechanism for resetting the switching unit from the driven state. A coupling mechanism in the form of a movement-direction-dependent carrier mechanism is provided whereby the biasing mechanism is brought in its biased state into engagement with the drive mechanism for driving the switching unit and in the driven state of the switching unit the engagement of the biasing mechanism and the drive mechanism is released for resetting the switching unit without operation of the actuating mechanism, and the biasing mechanism and the drive mechanism act upon each other only in the direction of movement opposite to the biasing direction.

    Abstract: An electric circuit breaker or load switch has at least one fixed contact, a movable contact and a spring system having a rigid arm and a leaf spring. The leaf spring is hinged to the arm to provide an arm-leaf spring assembly in the form of a toggle mechanism, having a first end hinged to a movably supported element bearing the movable contact, and a second end which is hingedly supported at a distance from and opposite the fixed contact. The second end, the first contact and the movable element are positioned such that the arm-leaf spring assembly in both the open and closed position of the contacts assumes a deflected position, by which the connection length of the switch is effectively reduced.

    Abstract: A compartment module for a metal-enclosed, modular medium-voltage distribution system has an essentially box-type construction and includes a first set of mutually opposite completely closed walls, a second set of mutually opposite walls having identical large openings bounded by a narrow flange, and a third set of mutually opposite walls having small openings bounded by a wide flange. When assembled, a number of the modules can be arranged to face one another with similar walls and the remaining openings closed off by a cover. The modules can be mechanically coupled to each other by bolt joints or clamp joints in order to obtain a mechanical and electromagnetic seal. A method of manufacturing a module from sheet metal, and a method of manufacturing a medium-voltage distribution system from standard modules includes using isolators and busbar systems.

    Abstract: In the process of fixing a metal screen in the housing of a vacuum switch, the screen is plastically deformed radially outwards over an internal supporting edge in the housing. The plastic deformation of the screen is carried out at an edge thereof, in such a way that an outward flanged edge is formed. Thus, the screen is retained on the supporting edge by that flanged edge and a part of the housing with a relatively large diameter. Therefore, the screen has a part with a relatively small diameter which is essentially equal to the internal diameter of the supporting edge of the housing.

    Abstract: A leaf spring system, in particular for influencing a least one body operating or comprising one or more contacts of an electric switch, with a frame aperature and at least one leaf spring which can act on the at least one body. The leaf spring system comprises a supporting frame for receiving the leaf spring in the frame aperture thereof. The spring is supported at one end and has another projecting free end whereby the one body to be influenced by the spring action is accommodated between this other end and the supporting frame. The dimension of the body in the frame aperture is greater than the distance between the edge of the supporting frame and the free end of the at least one leaf spring when the latter is situated essentially in the plane of the supporting frame. The supporting frame is secured against movement relative to the leaf spring and body. The invention further relates to electric switches provided with such a leaf spring system.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic switch with a housing provided with at least one magnet system, comprising a stator body of magnetic material having an oblong chamber accomodating a movable armature of magnetic material, with an exciter winding for the excitation of a magnetic field in the at least one magnet system. A swingably supported first arm which can be brought into motion under the influence of the excited magnetic field. To actuate a pair of contacts a swingably supported second arm is provided and on each of the first and second arms one end of at least one leaf spring acts. The first and second arms extend on either side of the chamber at right angles to the lengthwise direction thereof in such a way that each of them can swing about their support point in the direction of the armature which is movable in the chamber between the arms. The free end of the first arm is coupled to the armature, which has an operating element which acts on the second arm.

    Abstract: Circuit for detection of an asymmetry in the magnetization current, generated by a reference alternating voltage, in a magnetic modulator, in particular a magnetic modulator for zero-flux detection. This magnetic modulator comprises two virtually identical, wound magnet cores (T2, T3), each with a primary winding (W1) to be fed with a modulating current (i.sub.1) and a series circuit of an auxiliary winding (W3) and an impedance (Z2, Z3) across which a voltage proportional to the magnetization current arises during operation. The reference alternating voltage (U.sub.m) is fed to the respective series circuits (W3, Z2; W3, Z3) such that no resultant induction current is induced in the modulating current (i.sub.1). The voltages over the impedances (Z2, Z3) form input signals for two peak value detectors (PD1, PD2), the strength of the output signal of which represents the degree of asymmetry of magnetization current.
