Abstract: The invention relates to a security marking label for a transparent support such as the windshield of a motor vehicle. The label comprises information specific to the marked support. The label is comprised of a complex formed of two superimposed elements between which is interleaved a marking element, at least one of said elements having a layer appropriate to provide for the binding of the transparent support and at least one of said elements comprising a diffraction network.
Abstract: Methods and adhesive labels useful in marking products or documents by applying these to substrates. A mark such as a barcode, photograph or characters are formed directly on the substrate and the adhesive label is applied over it. The adhesive label includes a concealing film layer which is transparent to a first wavelength outside the visible region, a diffractive optical mark with a transparent reflective layer and an adhesive layer. The first wavelength may be infrared allowing the underlying mark to be read by an IR laser. The adhesive labels are formed as to allow them to be continuously separated from a temporary detachment layer, thereby exposing the adhesive layer, and affixed to the document.
Abstract: The invention concerns a security marking system for producing a safe marking label having a substrate sheet such as a sheet coated with silicone (1) with two flaps (4,5) separated by a folding line (6), the first flap (4) supporting on the recto face a first holographic component (2), the face of which coming into contact with the substrate sheet is coated with an adhesive layer, the second flap (5) supporting on the verso face a second component (3) formed by a film coming into contact with the substrate sheet is coated with an adhesive layer and the opposite face of which at least bears official inscriptions.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a procedure for irreversibly transferring a diffraction grating, such as a stamped hologram, onto a substrate, such as a document or a product to be secured, which procedure consists of preparing a transfer film consisting of a supporting film substrate that carries at least one layer formed by a protective film overlay, a metallized or transparent reflective layer that carries the stamped optical image, and a layer of activatable adhesive. The procedure consists of superimposing the transfer film prepared in the above-described manner and of applying pressure with a transfer tool. The stage consisting of the preparation of the transfer film consists of depositing, onto a supporting film substrate whose dimensions are greater than those of the element to be transferred, at least one optical element whose dimensions correspond exactly to those of the element to be transferred onto the substrate.
Abstract: Method for the production of an optically variable image including an animated element used as the model for the reproduction of a security element, by insolation of a light-sensitive material through two coherent light beams. The image is broken down into a plurality of elementary images, each corresponding to an optical effect defined by a color, the time when the image elements appear and their duration. A plurality of masks is provided, each including a number of windows defining an elementary image. Two light beams are used to light the entire substrate surface and the substrate is isolated by successively placing each mask on the substrate and in the path of the light beams. The first light beam is stationary while the second light beam is emitted from an illumination surface with adjustable dimensions and position, so as to produce a given optical effect for each elementary image.
