Patents Assigned to Holtsch Metallwarenherstellung
  • Patent number: 5477761
Abstract: A device for dispensing a bandage material has a container for accommodating a supply of bandage material, a mechanism for advancing the bandage material from the container so as to expose a desired portion of the bandage material outside of the container, a mechanism for cutting the exposed piece of the bandage material, and including a cutting element movable between an initial position before cutting the piece of the bandage material and a final position after the piece of the bandage material has been cut off during which movement from the initial position to the final position the piece of the bandage material is being cut, and a structure for preventing advancement of the bandage material by the advancing mechanism when the cutting element is in the final position.

  • Patent number: 5413299
Abstract: A holding device for holding containers has a housing, an insert movable relative to the housing between a proximal position in which the container can be clamped between the insert and the housing and a distal position in which the insert is moved away from the housing so that the container can be removed from the device and a new container can be placed between the insert and the housing, and elements for engaging the container when it is located between the insert and the housing so as to reliably hold it in the device. The engaging elements include at least one engaging projection which is elastically urged to a position in which it is hidden in one of the insert and the housing when there is no container between the insert and the housing and which is displaced outwardly of the at least one of the insert and the housing to an extended position when the container is inserted between the insert and the housing and applies a pressure to the engaging elements.

  • Patent number: 5314437
Abstract: A constricting device for body parts, has a housing, a clamping rocker supported in the housing rotatable between a clamping position in which one end of the clamping rocker clamps a band extending through the housing against a housing wall and an opposite releasing position in which it releases the band, so that the clamping rocker in a constriccting position of the band which is under tension is turned to the clamping position while a manual pressure applied to the clamping rocker turns the latter to the releasing position. A releasable arresting closure is provided between another end of the clamping rocker and an end of the band at the side of the housing, and a mechanical transmission member which during application of an actuating pressure to the clamping rocker first turns the clamping rocker to the releasing position and then after a release of the band opens the arresting closure.

  • Patent number: 5145139
Abstract: A holding device for holding containers with tissues and the like comprises a housing, an insert movable relative to the housing between a proximal position in which the container can be clamped between the insert and the housing and a distal position in which the insert is moved away from the housing so that the container can be removed from the device and a new container can be placed between the insert and the housing, and elements for elastically urging the insert toward the housing to the proximal position, so that the insert can be moved away of the housing toward the distal position by overcoming a resistance of the elastic elements. The elastic elements include at least one elastic band elastically connecting the insert with the housing.

  • Patent number: 5121954
Abstract: A closure for a band and the like comprises a closure housing adapted for passing a band therethrough, a housing cap adapted to be connected to an end of the band, and elements for releasably connecting the closure housing with the housing cap. The connecting elements include a pin projecting from the closure housing and having a front end with two oppositely inclined surfaces and two transverse grooves, and two sliders accomodated in the housing cap slidingly over one another and each having a projection and a shaped formation facing toward one another and formed so that in a locked condition the projections of the sliders of the housing cap engage in the grooves of the pin of the closure housing while the shaped formations of the sliders of the housing cap abut against the inclined surfaces of the pin of the closure housing.

  • Patent number: 4899905
Abstract: A container with a strip of continuous premoisturized swabs therein, each swab being rectangular and interconnected with adjacent swabs at their respective corners. The swabs are folded only at their interconnection location and stacked one on top of the other. The container has an end face with an opening, through which a portion of the uppermost swab extends. The container also has a lid to protect the portion of the uppermost swab extending through the opening. Each swab is removable individually by pulling vertically on the portion of the uppermost swab until it tears at the interconnection location with the successive swab, because of frictional resistance generated by accumulation of the successive swab in the opening being greater than the tear strength of the interconnection location.

  • Patent number: 4756423
Abstract: An indicator for taking medication having a first plate with a background color and at least one colored portion of a different color, a second plate independently movable on the front face and having a images formed so that the colored portion is visible through at least one of them so as to form a plurality of indicator positions. The plates are movable relative to one another and releasably fixable in each of the indicator positions in which the colored portion is visible through a respective one of the images. In addition, the center area of the plate may have its own images and be independently movable relative to a surrounding outer ring. Further, a pill dispenser with a plurality of radial grooves containing pills may be attached under the second plate. The first and second plates have openings; when they are aligned, any pill within the corresponding groove may be removed.
