    Abstract: Disclosed are compositions and methods for repelling insects. The composition is formulated as an aqueous solution to be sprayed on a surface from which insects are to be repelled. In preferred embodiments, the composition is a non-toxic and biodegradable insect repellent comprising an aqueous carrier, at least about 0.05 percent by volume of hot pepper extract, at least about 0.05 percent by volume of garlic extract, and at least about 0.05 percent by volume of Neem seed oil.
