  • Patent number: 9212702
Abstract: The invention includes at least two free disks arranged between a drive-torque transmission disk and an output-torque receiving disk, each of the at least two free disks being freely rotatable. When a torque is to be transmitted, mutual gaps between the drive-torque transmission disk, the at least two free disks and the output-torque receiving disk are narrowed, so that the input torque of the driving unit is transmitted from the drive-torque transmission disk to one free disk adjacent to the drive-torque transmission disk by friction, the torque transmitted to the one free disk is transmitted to another free disk adjacent to the one free disk by friction, and the torque transmitted to the or another free disk on the most output-shaft side is transmitted to the output-torque receiving disk by friction.

  • Patent number: 5538057
Abstract: A pair of roller skis 300 each constituted by attaching elastic wheels 302 to a boot-placing plate 301 in the front thereof and at the back thereof. The elastic wheels 302 each comprises a wheel supporting means having a circular rim part on the outer periphery and a tire part mounted on the circular rim part of the wheel supporting means and being elastically deformable in the direction perpendicular to the running direction of the wheel. Each elastic wheel 302 enables the running direction thereof to be simply changed with the wheel shaft kept in the same direction, and utilization of the features permits a skier to operate the roller skis with a feeling similar to that afforded by conventional snow skis.

  • Patent number: 5383715
Abstract: A wheel provided with sub-wheels, in which a plurality of sub-wheels (31) supported rotatably about an axis extending in the same direction as that tangential to the circular rim (12) of the wheel are arranged on the circular rim to constitute a tire (40). The rotation of the tire and that of the sub-wheels are combined to cause the wheel to run in an arbitrary direction.
