Abstract: A mounting apparatus receives a data storage device with a plurality of posts. The mounting apparatus includes a bracket, and a latching unit mounted to the bracket. The latching unit includes a fixing tray, a sliding member slidably mounted in the fixing tray, and a resisting member mounted to the sliding member and resisting the post. When the sliding member is slid in the fixing tray along a first direction to resist the resisting member, the resisting member is moved into the fixing tray along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. When the sliding member is slid in the fixing tray along a third direction opposite to the first direction, the resisting member is moved outside the fixing tray along a fourth direction opposite to the second direction.

Abstract: A navigation method of the mobile device, wherein the mobile device comprises a GPS unit, the step comprising: receiving a message sent by an inviter mobile device; identifying whether the received message is an appointment message according to a message type flag in the message; determining an appointment location in the appointment message according to an address flag in the message; acquiring a map of the area including the location of the mobile device and the appointment location via the GPS unit; displaying the acquired map. A mobile device with navigation function is also provided.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a first body; a second body; a hinge pivotally connecting the second body to the first body and defining two fixing holes along the axial direction thereof; two conductive post received in the two fixing holes correspondingly, two first cables disposed in the first body; and two second cables disposed in the second body. A first extending portion and a second extending portion of each of the two conductive post extending out of the hinge. The two first extending portions of the two conductive posts having different length. The two first cables conductively fixed at the first extending portion. The two second cables conductively fixed at an end of each of the second extending portions opposite to the hinge and capable of rotating with respect to the hinge without getting entangled.

Abstract: A detecting method for measuring gaps between two parts of an object is provided. The detecting method selects a reference image and a measured image, merges the reference image and the measured image to form an image of the object, grids the reference image and the measured image to obtain triangle mesh surfaces, obtains boundary points and outline points of the measured image, and obtains triangles on a joint portion of the reference image and measured points on a corresponding joint portion of the measured image. The method further compares each measured point with an obtained triangle to obtain gap values of the joint portion between the reference image and the measured image, and outputs an analysis report of the gap values on a display device.

Abstract: A bezel assembly includes a bezel, a button, a rotating member, and an elastic member engagable with the bezel and the rotating member for restoring the rotating member. The bezel defines a through hole therein, and the button is installed in the through hole. The rotating member is mounted to an inside surface of the bezel, and the rotating member is engagable with the button and rotatable upon manipulation of the button for controlling a functional component behind the bezel.

Abstract: An earphone is configured to be coupled to a first audio output socket or a second audio output socket. The earphone includes a main body and a plug module. The main body includes a sleeve adapter, an earpiece, and a cable electrically connecting the sleeve adapter and the earpiece. The plug module includes a first end and a second end which are electrically connected to each other. The first end and the second end are of different diameters. In a first mode, the first end is plugged into the sleeve adapter, and the second end is capable of being coupled to the second audio output socket. In a second mode, the second end is plugged into the sleeve adapter, and the first end is capable of being coupled to the first audio output socket.

Abstract: A transmission device includes a first transmission mechanism comprising a first rotatable member and a first transmission member fixed to the first rotatable member for rotating together with the first rotatable member; and a second transmission mechanism comprising a second rotatable member and a second transmission member fixed to the second rotatable member for rotating together with the second rotatable member. The second transmission member received in the first transmission member, and the second transmission member being magnetically connected with the first transmission member. When a load applied to the first transmission mechanism is less than a predetermined value of the first transmission mechanism, the first transmission member rotates together with the second transmission member by a magnetic force generated therebetween, which in turn makes the first transmission mechanism rotates with the second transmission mechanism together.

Abstract: A system for encrypting and decrypting data being transmitted between a data processing device and a storage device is provided. The system includes a password storing unit, an input unit, an authentication unit, a read unit, a key generator, an encrypting unit, and a decrypting unit. The password storing unit stores an initial password. The input unit is for receiving a current password. The authentication unit is for determining if the current password matches with the initial password. The read unit is for reading the initial password and an identification number of the system. The key generator is for generating an encrypting key and a decrypting key using the initial password and the identification number. If the current password matches with the initial password, the encrypting unit and the decrypting unit are operable to encrypt and decrypt the data using the encrypting key and the decrypting key correspondingly.

Abstract: An exemplary housing of a foldable electronic device includes a first cover, a second cover, and a button disposed on the second cover. The first cover includes a lock receiving portion. The button includes a main body, a lock portion, and a resilient portion. The lock portion is configured for engaging with the lock receiving portion. The lock portion and the resilient portion connect with the main body. The main body includes a contact portion and a pivot portion. The contact portion and the pivot portion are separated from each other at a predetermined distance. The main body is rotatably disposed on the second cover by the pivot portion. The resilient portion is located on another end opposite to the pivot portion.

Abstract: A computer-based method for controlling product quality is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: detecting whether a quality of raw materials bought from at least one supplier are acceptable; detecting whether a quality of using materials used at a processing procedure are acceptable; detecting whether a quality of products being manufactured at the processing procedure are acceptable; receiving and storing a post-procedure report obtained by sampling the products after the processing procedure; repeating steps of detecting materials used at a processing procedure, detecting products being manufactured at the processing procedure, detecting the sampling products after the processing procedure, and completing the manufacturing if all the products are finished. A related system is also disclosed.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus is provided for a storage device. The storage device includes two lateral sides each defining at least one fixing hole. The mounting apparatus includes a conductive bracket having two side plates, and at least one fastener installed on an inside surface of each of the side plates. Each fastener includes a conductive elastic portion fixed to the corresponding side plate, and a conductive fixing portion extending from the elastic portion and perpendicular to the corresponding side plate. The elastic portions engage with the lateral sides of the storage device respectively, the fixing portions engage in the fixing holes of the storage device respectively.

Abstract: A brain wave inducing apparatus includes a signal generator and at least one sensor electrically coupled to the generator. The signal generator generates electrical signals with frequencies in a predetermined range. The at least one sensor is electrically coupled to the signal generator and detachably attached to a human body. The at least one sensor generates vibration at a frequency in the predetermined range in response to the electrical signals. The vibration is transferred to a the human body to induce the human brain to generate brain waves with the frequencies in the predetermined range.

Abstract: A method of a digital photo frame (DPF) with mode switching function is provided. The method includes: determining whether the DPF is in a DPF mode or a TV mode upon receiving a power off signal; detecting whether any multimedia file exists in the DPF if the DPF is in the TV mode; and switching the DPF from the TV mode to the DPF mode if any multimedia file exists in the storage. A related DPF is also provided.

Abstract: A mobile communications device to provide feedback on spam text messages. A corresponding method is provided. The method includes steps of: receiving a message from a server; decoding the message; identifying whether the server ID of the received message is one of the predetermined numbers; displaying the menu on the display unit if the server ID is one of the predetermined numbers; receiving a reply code, generating a reply message corresponding to the reply code, and sending the reply message to the server.

Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a main body, a compartment and a transmission line. The transmission line has a cable and a connector part. One end of the cable is electrically connected to the main body, and the other end of the cable extends out from the main body and is connected to the connector part. The compartment defines a receiving space therein. The compartment is pivotally connected to one end of the main body and has a closed position and an open position relative to the end of the main body. The connector part and the cable are received in the receiving space and concealed by the compartment when the compartment is in the closed position. The connector part is detachably connected to an external device with the cable being pulled out from the receiving space of the compartment when the compartment is in the open position.

Abstract: An exemplary adjustable stand (20) for displays includes a main support (22), a movable rack (25), an adjusting system (26) and a balance mechanism (28). The movable rack is slidably mounted on the main support. The adjusting system includes at least one pinion gear (266) rotatably attached on the movable rack and at least one rack gear (267) fixed to the main support. The at least one pinion gear meshes with the at least one rack gear. The balance mechanism is mounted between the main support and the movable rack for balancing gravity of the movable rack and components fixed relative to the movable rack. Abstract: A multifunction mobile phone includes an accelerometer, a selection module, and a processor. The accelerometer detects a movement of the multifunction mobile phone, and generates acceleration signals in response to the movement. The selection module selects components of the acceleration signals in response to a selection signal. The processor receives the acceleration signals when no selection signal is inputted to the selection module, so as to control the multifunction mobile phone itself. The processor receives at least part of the acceleration signals through the selection module in response to the selection signal, so as to control the electronic device.

Abstract: An electrical adapter assembly for connecting a first hard disk drive and a second hard disk drive is provided. The electrical adapter assembly includes a connector capable of electrically inserting into the first hard disk drive, a printed circuit board (PCB) module electrically connecting the connector, and a loading member for loading the first hard disk drive. The PCB module includes a chip for controlling data transfer between the first hard disk drive and the second hard disk drive. The loading member includes a base and at least two guiding portions pivotally attached on the base to allow the first hard disk drive to be able to slide between the at least two guiding portions.

Abstract: An exemplary media player system includes a media player and an earphone. The earphone includes a first earpiece, a second earpiece, a primary volume control unit, and a secondary volume control unit. The first earpiece and the second earpiece are configured for receiving first channel audio signals and second channel audio signals respectively, and converting the audio signals to yield audible sounds. The primary volume control unit adjusts the volume levels of the first earpiece and the second earpiece simultaneously. The secondary volume control unit adjusts the volume of sounds outputted from one of the first earpiece and the second earpiece.

Abstract: A holding fixture includes a first part, a securing member and a second part. The first part includes a first end face and a sleeve extending from the first end face, the sleeve defines a plurality of radial through holes each receiving a ball therein, and each ball has a diameter larger than the wall thickness of the sleeve therein. The securing member located around the sleeve includes a plurality of protrusions configured on an inner wall thereof, with every two neighboring protrusions defining a notch therebetween. The second part includes a body and a tail fixed on the body, with seating thereof in the sleeve enabled by an annular groove in the periphery thereof. The protrusions guide the balls into the annular groove to secure the second part on the first part.
