    Abstract: An electrical connector (1) comprises an insulating housing (10) defining an insertion hole (122) adapted for insertion of the plug connector. A plurality of terminal receiving slots (170) is defined beside the insertion hole. A plurality of signal terminals (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) is assembled within the terminal receiving slots. Each terminal has a soldering tail (212, 222, 232, 243, 252) located outside the housing. The soldering tails each have a bottom end located between top and bottom walls of the housing and soldered to a printed circuit board (4). Each terminal further comprises a mating portion (213, 223, 233, 243, 253) extending into the insertion hole adapted for contacting with a complementary plug. A shielding (30) is mounted to the housing and having a grounding plate (33) extending downwardly beyond the bottom wall of the housing, adapted for engaging with a conductive grounding device.

The body includes a bottom panel (12) and two side walls (14, 16) extending from opposite side edges of the bottom panel. The body has a pair of sliding slots (18) for receiving bolts (70) attached to a data storage device. The lever has a base (51) and two side plates (53) extending from opposite ends of the base. The two side plates are pivotally attached to the side walls of the body for being movable toward a closed position where the side plates engage the bolts and thus retain the data storage device in the body.

    Abstract: An enhanced memory module assembly comprises a memory module including a substrate with a plurality of conductive traces arranged in an edge thereof. A connector includes a first housing having a memory module receiving slot extending along a longitudinal direction thereof. The housing further defines a plurality of terminal cells with a plurality of first terminals assembled therein. Each terminal includes a first end extending into the elongate slot for electrically contacting with the conductive traces. A ZIF device is arranged between the memory module and includes a pair of actuator receiving slots located in the housing and in communicating with the terminal cells, and an actuator attached to the memory module. The actuator includes a pair of actuating plates extending into the actuator receiving slots thereby pushing the terminals in electrical contact with the conductive traces when the memory module is completely inserted therein.

    Abstract: An electronic card connection system includes a connector adapted to engage with an electronic card and a mounting member fixed on a circuit board. The connector retains two rows of first contacts therein with a tail section of each first contact extending beyond the connector. A spacer is attached to the connector and defines a chamber bound by two side walls. A number of holes are defined in the spacer in communication with the chamber for extension of the tail sections of the first contacts into the chamber. The tail sections are supported by inner surfaces of the side walls. The mounting member defines two slots for receiving the side walls of the spacer. Each slot has second contacts arranged therein for engaging with the tail sections of the first contacts. A shielding member is attached to the connector and has grounding pins received in the chamber of the spacer and alternately arranged with the tail sections.

    Abstract: A cable assembly comprises an IDC connector including a dielectric housing having front and rear faces. An array of passageways is defined between the front and rear faces. Each passageway securely receives a terminal therein. Each terminal forms an insulation displacement section extending beyond the rear face and a pin section extending beyond the front face. A cover is assembled to the rear face. A row of ground contacts is assembled to a top face of the cover. Each ground contact has a tip and an insulation displacement section at opposite end thereof. A ground plane cable is assembled to the housing by means of the cover. The cable includes a plurality of signal and ground conductors terminating at the insulation displacement sections of the terminals, wherein a ground plane of the cable electrically connects with the tips of the ground contacts when the cable is fed around the IDC connector.
