    Abstract: A backlight module (100) used in a liquid crystal display device includes a light guide plate (101) and a field emission light source (110). The light guide plate includes a light incident surface (108), a light emitting surface (102) adjoining the light incident surface, and a bottom surface (105) opposite to the light emitting surface. The field emission light source faces the light incident surface. Compared with a light emitting diode or a cold cathode fluorescence lamp, the field emission light source 110 is capable of providing a brightness 10˜1000 times that of the light emitting diode or the cold cathode fluorescence lamp. Thus, the backlight module can achieve a high brightness and can save electric energy.

    Abstract: A focusing assembly (10) includes a holder (11), a voice coil actuator (20), a rotating tube (23), and an inner tube (31). The coil is wound on the outside of the rotating tube, which further has an internal thread (231) inside. The inner tube, wound with the coil, rotates in reaction to the magnet element when a current is flowed through the coil, and the guiding block, coupled with the guiding slot, limits the axial movement of the inner tube and thereby offers thrust reversal to the inner tube in telescopic movement.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a light guide plate includes the following steps: (12) providing a photo mask having certain patterns of dots associated therewith; (16) using the photo mask to form an imprinting stamper; and (18) using the imprinting stamper to imprint an original light guide plate, thereby forming a light guide plate having the certain pattern of dots. The dots on the light guide plate manufactured by the present method are fine (i.e., with respect to microstructure), due to a high precision of the imprinting stamper. This precision can result in substantial or even entire uniformity of emitted light beams from the light guide plate. Thus, liquid crystal display devices adopting the light guide plate can provide satisfactory display quality. Therefore, the present method can be advantageously applied in manufacturing the light guide plate used in the liquid crystal display devices.

A method of designing the PCB includes: simulating a PCB with electronic components using a software, simulating vias, traces, and metal pads, and testing the electrical characteristics of the whole simulation. If the simulated PCB fails testing then it is redesigned. Once a simulated PCB passes testing then it is ready to be manufactured.
