Patents Assigned to Honda Giken Kogyo Kabishiki Kaisha
  • Patent number: 6540031
Abstract: A tiller has rotational blades for tilling the ground. A power source generates a rotational driving force for rotating the rotational blades and for advancing the tiller unidirectionally while tilling the ground. A power transmission mechanism transmits the rotational driving force of the power source to the rotational blades. A handle for guiding the tiller is pivotally connected to a rear portion of the power source or to a rear portion of the power transmission mechanism so that shock energy generated during tilling of the ground and transmitted to the power source or the power transmission mechanism is absorbed by pivotal movement of the power source or the power transmission mechanism relative to the handle about a pivot point spaced rearwardly from a center of gravity of the tiller and disposed approximately at the same height as the center of gravity of the tiller from a surface of the ground.

  • Patent number: 6199888
Abstract: A main stand structure including a pivot tube mounted on an engine by a pivot shaft and left and right legs. The left leg extends from a first point that is spaced a predetermined distance to the left from a vehicle body center on the pivot tube, and the right leg has an upper end joined to a portion of the left leg. A reinforcement member extends from a portion of the right leg substantially parallel to the left leg, and has an end joined to the pivot tube at a second point which is in substantially symmetrical relationship to the first point with respect to the vehicle body center. The reinforcement member and the right leg jointly make up a V-shaped portion which allows exhaust pipes to extend.

  • Patent number: 5518463
Abstract: A torque distributing mechanism includes a first and a second planetary gear mechanism. Among pairs of planetary carriers, ring gears and sun gears in these planetary gear mechanisms, one of the pairs are coupled to two output elements of a differential; another pair are relatively non-rotatably connected to each other, and one of the components of the remaining pair is fixed, while the other is connected to a driving source. Thus, it is possible to reduce the diametrical dimension and weight of the torque distributing mechanism and to improve the degree of freedom in design.
