Patents Assigned to Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha (Honda Motor Co., Ltd.)
  • Publication number: 20040016663
Abstract: A windshield packaging system that provides effective support for the windshield during substantial vertical drops, protects the windshield against side impacts, is simple in design, requires only modest skill to effectively assemble, protects windshields of different size with the same size carton, and minimizes inventory management problems. The windshield packaging system includes jaw components having a synergistic effect, horizontally-running flutes, and pressure-regulated clamps.

  • Patent number: 5211151
Abstract: A fuel tank to be mounted on a vehicle and a canister are connected together via a two-way valve and a solenoid valve. Both valves are disposed within a valve casing which has a pair of connecting ports for connection to the fuel tank and to the canister, respectively. A bypass passage, which bypasses the two-way valve, to bring the two connecting ports into fluid communication with each other is provided inside the valve casing, and a solenoid valve is interposed in the bypass passage.

  • Patent number: 4349078
Abstract: A mounting for a heat producing element of an automobile is described, in which elastic support members of rubber or an elastomeric material are positioned externally of a heat shield in a position in which they are exposed to unobstructed air flow beneath the automobile, and are isolated from radiant heat produced by the heat producing element in a manner minimizing the conduction of heat from said heat producing element.

  • Patent number: 4200596
Abstract: A method and apparatus for compensating for increased engine idle speed upon breaking-in of an engine, comprising halting a throttle valve controlling admission of air-fuel mixture to the engine in an idling position of the engine by a stopper member and gradually and automatically shifting the halted idling position of the throttle valve in its closing direction to diminish the flow of air-fuel mixture to the engine to compensate for increased engine idle speed upon breaking-in of the engine. The gradual and automatic shifting of the idling position of the throttle valve is obtained by constructing either the throttle valve, or the stopper member or both with contact portions which are relatively easily worn or deformed so that as the portions undergo gradual wear or deformation, the throttle valve gradually moves in its closing direction to compensate for increase engine idle speed.
