Abstract: An electromagnetic brake interposed between a fixed housing and a rotating member. The electromagnetic brake includes a multiplate brake mechanism, a ringlike core member fixed through an annular brake guide inside the fixed housing, an exciting coil accommodated in an annular groove formed on the core member, and a ringlike armature member arranged radially outside of the core member. Each of the core member and the armature member has a plurality of tapering surfaces. The tapering surfaces of the core member are respectively complementary in shape to the tapering surfaces of the armature member. The electromagnetic brake further includes a cylindrical pressure member movable in a direction of pressing the multiplate brake mechanism. The cylindrical pressure member has one end fixed to the armature member and another end engaged with the multiplate brake mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20040000882
Abstract: A starter motor is prevented from being rotated together with an engine after the start of a engine. When motor speed exceeds the cranking speed after the start of the engine, a speed judging section 36 judges that the starter motor is rotated together with the engine. A current-supply stopping section 38 commands to stop energizing a motor 3a in response to the judge. After the electricity supply is stopped, if the rotation speed is reduced to a value close to the cranking speed, judging section 36 outputs a signal to cancel the current-supply stopping commands from the current-supply stopping section 38. The detection of the motor speed is also continued even after the ignition, and if the speed is further increased, the speed detection is stopped. If the speed is increased to a value showing complete explosion, the speed judging section 36 switches the relays to a generator.

Abstract: A thrust measurement system includes a water pool for receiving therein a watercraft in a floating condition, a bow holding apparatus disposed on an edge portion of the water pool for holding a bow of the watercraft, a thrust measurement device mounted in the bow holding apparatus, and an anchoring device spanning between an edge of the water pool and a hull of the watercraft for anchoring the watercraft in position against swinging movement about the bow. In order to permit free rise and fall of the bow of the watercraft, the bow holding apparatus has a floating structure that can move freely in a vertical plane.

  • Publication number: 20020029943
Abstract: A brake fluid pressure retaining apparatus RU is mounted on a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission CVT and a driving motor control unit DCU. The driving motor control unit switches the magnitude of creep driving force between a greater condition and a smaller condition in accordance with a depression of the brake pedal, so that the driving force is made smaller at a depression of the brake pedal than at a release of the brake pedal. The brake fluid pressure retaining apparatus continuously retains brake fluid pressure within a wheel cylinder WC after releasing a brake pedal BP. The retained brake fluid pressure is released after the driving force increases to the greater condition and when a first setting time TM1 passes.

  • Publication number: 20010008194
Abstract: A fluid supply system is constructed to have an oil container 21, a transmission device 13 subjected to the supply of lubricating oil from the oil container, a lubricating oil supply tube 22 introducing lubricating oil from the oil container 21 to the transmission device 13, first and second axial holes 16a, 16b and lubricating holes 17. In the fluid supply system, a filtering member F having a permanent magnet and formed into a cylindrical shape is disposed in the first axial hole 16a formed so as to extend axially in a transmission input shaft 15, whereby at least a part of a lubricating oil supply passage is constituted by the first and second axial holes 16a, 16b and the lubricating holes 17 in the transmission input shaft 15, and the internal cylindrical space of the filtering member F.
