  • Patent number: 10071783
Abstract: In a saddle-ride type vehicle in which a cylinder includes a cylinder head and a cylinder head cover that covers an upper portion of the cylinder head, a vehicle body frame includes a head cover adjoining portion that adjoins the cylinder head cover. At least a part of the cylinder head cover overlaps the head cover adjoining portion as viewed from a direction along a cylinder axis that is a center axis of the cylinder. The head cover adjoining portion extends rearward such that the cylinder head cover is exposed outside in a side view. The foregoing configuration seeks to affect the ease of mounting and dismounting a saddle-ride vehicle having a power unit with a cylinder arranged upward and the vehicle body frame for supporting the power unit by reducing the left-right width of a vehicle body frame while allowing a cylinder head cover to be attachable and detachable.

  • Publication number: 20180251100
Abstract: An ejection nozzle member attached to a vehicle-mounted camera is formed from an elastic material, and includes a cover member mounted on an upper surface of a casing, the cover member having therein an air passage to which compressed air is supplied. A pair of seal members are formed in an air ejecting unit, from which the compressed air is ejected, on outer sides of the air passage in a widthwise direction. The seal members are formed in lip shapes, protruding downward and toward the center in the widthwise direction on a side of the air passage. When the ejection nozzle member is attached to the camera, distal ends of the seal members are placed in contact mutually on the side of the air passage, and are pressed toward the casing by the compressed air that flows in the air passage to thereby be placed in intimate contact therewith.

  • Publication number: 20180254503
Abstract: A fuel cell stack and a method of assembling a fuel cell stack includes compressing fuel cells along their stacking axis. A compression retention device made up of an enclosure may be used with one or more optional insertable shims to correct for any stack height variations. Significantly, the enclosure is formed to allow the stack to be loaded in compression by a press such that the cells that make up the stack are placed into and maintained in a substantially compressed state while the compression force is not imparted to the enclosure. By resolving any stack height variances while the cells of the stack are maintained in their substantially compressed state, assembly operations are simplified in that repeated compression and decompression of the stack is avoided while trying to ensure that the stack and enclosure are joined into their final assembly form.

  • Publication number: 20180252312
Abstract: A gear shift mechanism controlled by a gear shift control device includes a plurality of engagement mechanisms and engages three engagement mechanisms to establish any one of a plurality of shift stages. The gear shift control device is adapted to change speed to a desired shift stage set by a manual operation. If a gear shift to the desired shift stage involves the skipping of one or more shift stages and the switching of two or more engagement mechanisms among the plurality of engagement mechanisms that are currently engaged, then the gear shift control device performs the gear shift to the desired shift stage such that the engagement mechanisms to be switched via a shift stage or stages to be skipped are switched one by one.

  • Patent number: 10065527
Abstract: In a control system and control method for a driving device, opposite distribution control is performed (e.g., steps 1, 4 to 7), whereby a left driving force and a right driving force are controlled such that a yaw moment in a direction opposite to a turning direction of the vehicle acts on the vehicle, whereby a left-right driving force difference is generated which is a difference between the left driving force and the right driving force. During performance of the opposite distribution control, when deceleration of the vehicle is obtained, limit control is performed (e.g., step 8), whereby the left driving force and the right driving force are controlled such that a change in the left-right driving force difference becomes smaller than a change in a left-right driving force sum, which is the sum of the left driving force and the right driving force.

  • Patent number: 10066744
Abstract: A transmission apparatus for a vehicle includes a shift spindle having a clutch actuator, and also includes a shift actuator adapted to operate a shift drum. The apparatus also includes a motor for rotating the shift spindle, and a controller for controlling the motor. In use, the clutch actuator is rotated prior to the shift actuator when the shift spindle is rotated to a shift-down side. The controller rotates the shift spindle to a shift-up side and stores, as a standard duty, a driving duty of the motor at the time when a rotary angle of the shift drum reaches a drum angle threshold. Then, the controller rotates the shift spindle to a shift-down side, and learns a rotary angle of the shift spindle at the time when the standard duty is generated, as a touch point at which the clutch is initially partially engaged.

  • Patent number: 10067511
Abstract: An automatic operation vehicle that automatically performs an operation in an operation area is provided. A survey unit acquires the position information of the marker using a first angle between the moving direction and a direction to the marker from a first point through which the vehicle passes during the movement in a constant moving direction, a second angle between the moving direction and a direction to the marker from a second different point through which the vehicle passes during the movement in the moving direction, and a distance between the first point and the second point. The survey unit determines the first point and/or the second point during the movement of the vehicle in the moving direction such that the angle difference between the first angle and the second angle becomes close to 90°.
