  • Patent number: 9272746
Abstract: A vehicle body frame manufactured by welding is configured for weight reduction, and includes first and second frame members. The first frame member has a predetermined thickness including a first flat surface portion wider than the predetermined thickness. The second frame member includes a second flat surface portion touching the first flat surface portion. The first and second frame members are joined by bringing the flat surface portions together and welding the first and second flat surface portions together with laser beams parallel to the first flat surface portion. In this way, the laser welding can be performed with a reduced gap between the two members. Welding using laser beams applied from directions parallel to the flat surfaces allows the weld area to be significantly larger than conventional fillet welding.

  • Patent number: 9273616
Abstract: An intake control system for an internal combustion engine is capable of ensuring a differential pressure across an EGR valve, and controlling an EGR amount with high accuracy. A target fresh air amount is set based on a demanded torque calculated according to operating conditions of the engine. A differential pressure across an EGR valve is set as a target differential pressure. When it is determined that the across-valve differential pressure is not in a state in which the target differential pressure can be ensured, an opening degree of the EGR valve is controlled to limit an EGR amount. An opening degree of a throttle valve is controlled based on the target fresh air amount, so as to ensure the target differential pressure.

  • Patent number: 9276275
Abstract: Provided is a fuel cell system capable of preventing a fuel cell from being polarized at a high potential for a long time during start-up. A fuel cell system 1 includes a first injector 23A and a second injector 23B in a fuel gas inlet passage. When an ECU 60 determines that a power generation down time is equal to or more than a predetermined period at start-up of a fuel cell stack 10, a target pressure of hydrogen supplied to an anode passage 12 is set to be higher for supply than when the power generation down time is less than the predetermined period. In addition, as the power generation down time of the fuel cell stack 10 becomes longer, the target pressure is set to be higher. Also, a pressure increase in the fuel cell stack is set to be lower than that during ordinary power generation.

  • Patent number: 9273661
Abstract: A combustion control device for an engine capable of operation over a wide range and in which the NOx discharged amount is small is provided, as well as a combustion method for a homogeneous lean air/fuel mixture. The combustion method for a homogeneous lean air/fuel mixture of the present invention forms a homogeneous lean air/fuel mixture inside of the cylinder of the engine, and then causes this homogeneous lean air/fuel mixture to combust by way of spark ignition. A temperature at which a steep rise in a laminar burning velocity occurs when changing a cylinder temperature under a pressure condition corresponding to compression top dead center is defined as an inflection-point temperature. With the combustion method of the present invention, the cylinder temperature at compression top dead center inside of the cylinder is raised to higher than the inflection-point temperature upon combusting the homogeneous lean air/fuel mixture.

  • Publication number: 20160056573
Abstract: A connector device comprises a connector and a mating connector connectable with each other. The mating connector comprises a mating primary terminal and a mating secondary terminal. The connector comprises a primary terminal, a secondary terminal, an operation member and a push-back mechanism. The operation member changes its state from an initial state to a second state via a second state. When the state of the operation member is changed to the first state, the primary terminal is connected to the mating primary terminal. When the state of the operation member is changed to the second state, the secondary terminal is connected to the mating secondary terminal. When the state of the operation member is changed to the first state, the push-back mechanism applies a push-back force to the operation member to change the state of the operation member back toward the initial state.

  • Publication number: 20160052511
Abstract: A control device for a hybrid vehicle includes a push-start mode and a motor start mode. The push-start mode transmits a driving force from driving wheels to the engine via a first transmission route at a speed detected by a speed detection means equal to or more than a predetermined speed to start the engine. The motor start mode starts the engine using a driving force of the motor at a speed equal to or less than the predetermined speed as well as in a stopped state. At a speed outside a speed range that either mode is executable when a start command of the engine occurs in driving only using the electric motor as the driving source, a control means performs the driving force reduction control for reducing a driving force transmitted from the electric motor to the driving wheels of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20160053875
Abstract: In a crank-type vehicle power transmission apparatus, since an outer member of a one-way clutch has a large swing angular velocity when an amount of eccentricity of an input side fulcrum is large and a small swing angular velocity when the amount of eccentricity of the input side fulcrum is small, a projection fixed to the outer member is detected by a proximity sensor, the swing angular velocity of the outer member is calculated from a time gap of detection signals outputted by the proximity sensor, and the amount of eccentricity of the input side fulcrum can be estimated based on the swing angular velocity. Since the cumulative value of the detection signals is not used in the course of estimating the amount of eccentricity, the occurrence of error in estimation due to an accumulation of errors can be avoided.
