Patent number: 10564062Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to valves, and more particularly, to gas valve assemblies. In one example, a valve leakage test and/or other tests may be performed on a valve assembly including a valve body with a first valve and a second valve, where the valves may be positioned across a fluid path in the valve body with an intermediate volume between the valves. A human machine interface (HMI) may be in communication with the valve assembly to initiate and/or monitor tests on the valve assembly. The HMI may include a start button on a user interface for initiating the tests on valve assembly. The HMI may receive results of the tests (e.g., valve leakage tests) in real time during the test and display the results of the tests on a display of the HMI in real time.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2016Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Karen Karg, Donald J. Patent number: 10567436Abstract: A method of remote access action includes directing user actions including a first action to a destination device in an industrial control system (ICS) through a terminal server including a memory, a remote access recording component (RARC), and a security center coupled by a communication server through a network connection to the ICS. The terminal server is coupled to a streaming server having a recorded session repository database. The terminal server limits the user to specifically allowed actions and directs actions if allowed enabling user selecting the destination device from a menu that then provides a connection for the first action to be begun. The RARC during the remote session records streams of video of display window content and text representing the first action, combines the text and display window content to generate a combined video output file and stores the file in the session repository database.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2018Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventor: Eli Abramson

Patent number: 10566971Abstract: A proximity sensor or switch having a sensing coil, an oscillator connected to the coil, a comparator connected to the oscillator, a reference voltage module connected to the comparator, and an output driver connected to the comparator. The voltage module may incorporate a resistor having an end connected to a high side of a power source, and a digital potentiometer having a first end connected to another end of the resistor and to the comparator, and having a second end connected to a ground side of the power source. The digital potentiometer may have a resistance that is varied with a signal. A variation of the resistance for the digital potentiometer may result in a change of a voltage from the reference voltage module which further changes a switching distance of the proximity switch to a predetermined value.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2018Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Radhakrishnan Selvaraj, Manoj Kumar Vadali, Anuradha Mohan

Patent number: 10564016Abstract: An ultrasonic flow meter (UFM) includes a first and second ultrasonic transducer for attaching to a pipe, and a transceiver coupled to the transducers by a multiplexer. A controller having an associated memory runs an adaptive multi-frequency hopping and coding algorithm that selects ?1 frequency to be hopped within the measured transducer impedance spectrum using a threshold level that selects at least a peak for the phase or a valley for the magnitude, and selects a coding scheme for the chosen frequency to provide a coded frequency sequence. A received signal generated responsive to an ultrasonic signal with the coded frequency sequence into the fluid is decoded, and peak detection is performed on the decoded received signal. The travel time is calculated from the decoded signal, and a speed of the fluid is then determined from the travel time.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2018Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Bin Sai, Christian Bies, Fabien Aeschlimann

Patent number: 10565886Abstract: Systems and methods directed to evaluating potential loss of separation are provided. The method continuously receives a host status data, as well as traffic flight information for neighbor traffic. Responsive to a controller pilot data link communication (CPDLC) message with a flight profile change, the method continues by processing the host aircraft status data and the traffic flight information, to (i) construct a modified host flight path based on incorporating the host profile change without delay, and (ii) construct a neighbor aircraft trajectory for a neighbor aircraft. The method processes the modified host flight path and the neighbor aircraft trajectory with loss of separation (LOS) rules, to identify a potential loss of separation (LOS) event. Responsive to identifying the potential LOS event, the method continues by annunciating information describing the potential LOS and its location.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2018Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignee: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.Inventors: Kantha Chikkegowda, Balasubramanyam Ravindranath, Shrinath Joshi, Thomas Judd
