Abstract: An aircraft electromechanical actuator control system for an aircraft having a direct current (DC) voltage bus includes an actuator controller that is coupled to receive a first DC voltage from the aircraft DC voltage bus, where the first DC voltage has a first voltage magnitude. The actuator controller selectively supplies AC voltage to an electromechanical actuator and includes a bidirectional DC/DC converter, an inverter, and actuator control logic. The bidirectional DC/DC converter receives the first DC voltage and supplies a second DC voltage having a second voltage magnitude that is less than the first voltage magnitude. The inverter receives the second DC voltage converts it to the AC voltage. The actuator control logic receives actuator commands and supplies inverter control signals to the inverter.

  • Patent number: 11778423
Abstract: A signal is received from an occupancy sensor each time a person passes through an access point corresponding to a building space, and is identified as indicating a person either entering or exiting the building space. An occupancy count is maintained for each of the building spaces by incrementing the occupancy count when the signal indicates a person entering and decrementing the occupancy count when the signal indicates a person exiting. A determination is made as to whether the occupancy count for any of the building spaces of the plurality of building spaces has reached a threshold for the corresponding building space. Action is taken in response to determining that the occupancy count for any of the building spaces of the plurality of building spaces has reached the threshold for that particular building space.

  • Patent number: 11774127
Abstract: An HVAC controller provides control values to or more output ports of the HVAC controller. Operation of the HVAC controller is monitored for one or more irregularities. When one or more irregularities in the operation are identified, a hold mode is entered. The hold mode includes holding the one or more current control values on the one or more output ports of the HVAC controller until the one or more irregularities in the operation of the HVAC controller are corrected or a predetermined hold time expires, whichever occurs first. When the one or more irregularities in the operation of the HVAC controller are not corrected before the predetermined hold time expires, a back off mode is entered. The back off mode includes setting each of one or more control values on one or more output ports of the HVAC controller to a corresponding configurable back off value.

  • Patent number: 11772330
Abstract: Prior to manufacturing a product by additive manufacturing, a stress relief profile including frequency and amplitude parameters of an ultrasonic input is determined based on physical properties of the product, including resonant frequencies of the product and a material from which the product is manufactured. Successive layers of a material are added and energy is applied to incorporate the material of each layer into the product. A processor accesses stress relief profile parameters for each layer, determines whether a layer requires stress relief and determines a frequency and a power level for the stress relief at the layer. An ultrasonic input is applied with the determined parameters to relieve stress as the product is built up.
