Another embodiment of the present invention also has applications in preventing or alleviating or treating pancreatic cancer or pancreatogenic diabetes.
Abstract: This invention provides devices and methods of determining flicker-related parameters of a light emitting source. In one embodiment, the method has the following steps: a) acquiring one or more photo images or video images of a light emitting source with an image capturing device that has a rolling shutter; b) generating, with a processor, from the photo images or video images a flicker frame having one or more flicker dark lines, wherein each flicker dark lines has an output column value of 1; and c) generating, with a processor, one or more flicker-related parameters based on the flicker frame, thereby determining the flicker-related parameters of the light emitting source.
Abstract: This invention provides a non-invasive method for diagnosing performance of a vehicle. The method comprises using a 3-axis accelerometer to perform diagnosis of the performance of an internal combustion engine, the performance of the engine including an engine power loss and one or more flaws associated with the engine mount. The method is also usable for diagnosing deterioration of a suspension system of said vehicle. An apparatus comprising a 3-axis accelerometer for diagnosing performance of a vehicle is also provided. In one embodiment, the 3-axis accelerometer is embedded in a smart phone.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new generation of PDT agents based on porphyrin-lanthanide complexes with specific functional groups which can specifically localize on particular tumors, and their PDT processes can be monitored via NIR emission from erbium. In particular, the present invention provides a multi-modal lanthanide-porphyrin PDT agent (Er—R3) that are capable of killing the bladder tumor cells selectivity via 1O2 from porphyrin moiety and affording the fluorescence imaging simultaneously upon Er—R3 binding with the integrin ?v?3 isoform in bladder cancer cells.

Abstract: Tripyolide-nucleic acid aptamer derivatives, a preparation method and use thereof are shown. The structure of the triptolide-nucleic acid aptamer derivatives is as shown by formula I, wherein the definitions of R1-R7, G, A, B, M, Z and X are described. The present invention uses a nucleic acid aptamer and triptolide or modified compounds thereof as the starting materials, and introduces a linking group A at the C-14 hydroxyl group, epoxy groups and five-membered ring lactones in triptolide, then connects it to a nucleic acid aptamer B, and obtains the triptolide-nucleic acid aptamer derivatives. The triptolide-nucleic acid aptamer derivatives of the present invention have the characteristics of good targeting, a high anti-cancer activity, low toxicity and side effects, good water solubility and high bioavailability, and the preparation method of the present invention is scientific and reasonable and has a controllable quality and good repeatability, and is thereby suitable for production.
