Abstract: One embodiment relates to an electronic system for basketball contest. The electronic system includes a communication device adapted to be mounted on a basketball goal. The communication device includes: at least one sensor adapted to provide a sensor signal indicative of interaction of a basketball with the basketball goal, as well as a transmitter adapted to transmit a wireless control signal in response to the sensor signal. In addition, the electronic system includes a receiver adapted to receive the wireless control signal and, based on the wireless control signal, provide a trigger signal adapted to induce a change in an audio output provided by a programmable audio player.
