Abstract: A tank container for bulk storage of liquid materials is provided with with remote operated valves. The tank container comprises a storage vessel for bulk storage of liquid materials and having a height of about eight feet. The storage vessel includes an outlet valve proximate a bottom of the vessel, a fill valve at a top of the vessel, and a vent valve at the top of the vessel. A parallelepiped frame surrounds and is secured to the storage vessel for stacking and transporting of the tank container. A fill line includes an outlet connected to the fill valve and extending downwardly within the frame and an inlet proximate the bottom of the frame. A fill valve actuator is mounted proximate the bottom of the storage vessel mechanically linked with the fill valve for operating the fill valve remote from the top of the storage vessel.

Abstract: An intermediate bulk container (IBC) for storing and offloading materials comprises a portable tank including a bottom wall having a bottom discharge outlet. A discharge assembly comprises a sweep elbow and an outlet valve. The sweep elbow has an inlet connected to the discharge outlet and an outlet connected to the outlet valve. A bottom interior surface of the sweep elbow proximate the sweep elbow outlet is substantially even with a valve opening inside the outlet valve.

Abstract: A bulk container for storing materials comprises a tank having a peripheral side wall connected to a generally rectangular top wall. A lifting lug is secured to the tank at each corner of the top wall. Each lifting lug comprises a generally L-shaped metal plate having first and second legs. A corner sling adapter is mounted at each lifting lug. Each corner sling adapter includes a stiffener plate having a base connected to upturn sides and a padeye comprising a planar body with a through opening. The padeye planar body is secured to and extends upwardly from the base. Each corner sling adapter is fastened to one of the corner lifting lugs whereby the padeye planar body at each corner of the top wall is substantially in-line with the padeye planar body at an opposite corner of the top wall.

An appurtenance of a material different from the thermoplastic material is integrally fused to the bottle during the blow molding of the bottle at a location of the bottle other than the parting line.

The lid includes a generally circular top wall and a generally cylindrical sidewall connected to the top wall and having an inner threaded surface for threading to the threaded collar to close the port opening, in use. First and second circular openings through the top wall define first and second bung openings. First and second cylindrical collars extend downwardly from the top wall surrounding the respective first and second openings. Each cylindrical collar has a threaded inner wall for receiving a removable closure to selectively close the first and second bung openings.

Abstract: A transportation case is provided for an automotive engine, transmission, or the like. The transportation case includes a one-piece molded plastic base and a one-piece molded plastic lid. The base includes a substantial uniform wall thickness and comprises an outer peripheral wall connected to a formed bottom to provide an upwardly opening space. The formed bottom defines a wall for receiving an automotive engine, transmission, or the like, and has opposite longitudinally extending feet for resting on a support surface and a fork lift opening between the feet. The lid includes a substantially uniform wall thickness comprising an outer peripheral wall connected to a top wall. The lid outer peripheral wall is received on the base outer peripheral wall to close the upwardly opening space.

Abstract: A unitary plastic open head drum includes a cylindrical sidewall closed at a bottom end with a bottom wall and open at an upper end. A cylindrical chime is integrally formed with the sidewall at the open end. The chime comprises an annular wall having a thread extending helically about the annular wall. The thread has a depth of approximately ⅜ inch. The threaded drum cover is removably receivable on the cylindrical chime.

Abstract: A bulk packaging container is constructed of all polymeric materials. The container is in the form of a rigid plastic intermediate bulk container or portable tank. The container comprises a base of an injection molded polymeric material having a bottom adapted to be supported from beneath and an opposite top surface to define a height of approximately six inches and including plural entry slots for forklift or pallet jack entry. A bottle of a rotationally molded polymeric material has an outer wall defining an interior storage space. The outer wall comprises a bottom wall received on the base top and a top wall including means for supporting a base of another bulk packaging container. The bottle is adapted to support weight of the other bulk packaging container.

Abstract: An open top plastic drum comprises a cylindrical side wall. A circular bottom wall is connected at a bottom end of the side wall to define an interior storage space. A foot ring is connected proximate an intersection of the side wall and the bottom wall. The foot ring comprises an annular ring having, in cross section, a generally rectangular foot for engaging a ground surface, in use, and a neck diagonally connecting the foot to the bottom end of the side wall and the bottom wall.
